Dandelion dreams

On one particularly beautiful morning, I was sitting outside and looking at all the dandelions that were growing in my yard. I took the cell phone and started snapping some pictures.

Later that day the guys who mow my lawn showed up and mowed them all down. The next morning they were already starting to come back.

You took lovely photos of these. They are a resilient little wildflower aren’t they?

You have really captured their beauty. I love them. And they do come back, seems like the very next day! I even like the puffballs when they are over with. They are fun for little kids to blow.

Nature is so resilient! I have loved dandelions since I was a kid and was offended when people told me they were a weed. ;)

What a lovely post and OMDs they 'lions' of the yard popped right back up. Reminded me of the dandelion necklaces I made as a child, do you remember those? I bet Presley would enjoy making them. As I recall we used our thumbnails to make a small slit in the stem...stuck the stem of a dandelion in the slit and repeated

The picture you took came out great. Nobody wants them in their yard but they are a pretty yellow, my favorite color.

I've never understood why people disparage dandelions - we were sent out to the yard to pick the young leaves for salad! In retrospect I wonder why my mother never made dandelion wine...

I've always liked dandelions. Yes, they are very hardy.

a lot of beauty here. the dandelions get a bad rap, but they really have a lot of medicinal good.

Love the pictures. Dandelions are some of the first food for bees so very important.

Dandelions are beautiful...they are usually the first flower I notice in spring, or at least one of the first..crocuses might come first but cant remember for sure which is first.
