The Brenda Photo Challenge (6-5) Weathered and Worn

Yes indeed it's time again for another Brenda Photo Challenge. This time the theme is "Weathered and worn". That's a theme that describes just about everything I own. I could very easily show you tons of pictures but I'll practice some constraint here. I'm only going to give you two today because, well, because I'm being lazy.
This first one I dug in the files for. When I heard the theme I knew I had to dig this one up. It was taken about a year ago. I was out driving with no particular destination in mind for the sole purpose of finding things to take pictures of. When I saw this I immediately had to pull over and take the picture.

I can just imagine what this must have looked like when it was first built. I loved the doors on it.
The next one I had to go no further than my weathered and worn deck. I would show you the whole deck but it really is a pitiful sight. Instead this is a picture of my umbrella stand.

I'm not sure if it's cast iron or something similar but it's really heavy. The rust just adds to it's character. I'm going with that because I don't feel like painting it.
Don't forget to head on over and check out the rest of the entries in the Brenda Photo Challenge.

How time flies

Where did time go, it just slipped away
Where did time go, it only seems like yesterday
When you'd take my hand and say
     Come on, let's go play

It does seem like only yesterday but it will be 23 years ago tomorrow that my son was born.

 Happy Birthday Brad.

Mama needs a new pair of shoes.

And when you find them on clearance for $5.00 how can you resist buying them.
Of course had I not found these I knew of another place I could get a pair real cheap. The only problem was how to get there.

I don't think I have a ladder that will reach that high. This is right on the corner by my house and those things have been hanging there forever.

STOP! Thief!

On a recent walk we strolled by the Albion feed mill
I know, it's not a very attractive looking building. It's quite handy though. They sell pet supplies, garden supplies and who knows what else.
When we got back home I was telling Wade that we stopped there and they had all their flowers sitting right outside. Did I mention that they were closed? So anyway, I told him about the flowers and how pretty they all were and how I brought some home. His eyes got a little big and he questioned what I had done. Yes, I brought some home. What? Taking flowers from a store when they aren't open is a crime?
So I showed him my camera and all the pretty flowers I carried home with me.
Now seriously, do you really think I would have stole them? It would have been pretty easy though, they were all sitting right out, no fence or nothing. I wonder if they have a surveillance camera that has me sitting there taking the pictures?
