Family Dive

The next three days are going to be dedicated to pictures from the archives. They are all edits that I've done on pictures of family members. I'll go in order of age, starting with the youngest.
Up today is Brad.
This first one I was learning how to make a coin. On both of these I used pictures that I had taken from his facebook page while he was in Iraq

Next up was learning how to do newspaper clipping.

Practice makes perfect

If you want to be really good at something you have to practice. Duke and I worked on honing our lazy skills yesterday.
While Wade worked on the man cave Duke and I sat and watched. We didn't even care about all the saw dust on the rug.

Now being lazy requires snacks. We didn't have any snacks in the house so we made some chocolate chip cookies. Baking isn't being lazy so we made up for it by eating extra.

Back to lounging I found a pattern for crocheted Easter eggs so I thought I would try it out. I didn't want to appear too ambitious though so I only crocheted half an egg.
And that just about sums up our lazy day. Good thing I didn't do too much yesterday or I would be exhausted today. Especially since here in our part of the world we lost an hour of sleep due to the time change. I love spring but I hate it when the clocks spring ahead. Why do they have to do that on a weekend in the middle of the night? I think it should be done on a Monday, say around noonish. No one would mind losing an hour of their day on a Monday.

Red Buttons

And a few other colors too

Of course Red Buttons made me think of the comedian so I had to go search You Tube. A lot of faces in this video that I haven't seen in ages. These guys sure had fun.

Dead

Don't worry, I'm not about to show you pictures of road kill. Nothing gruesome here at all. While we were out in the yard looking around we couldn't find much new growth but we did find some things that were dead.
An old dried up leaf

A dried up hydrangea blossom

and we even found something dead in the house. This rose has seen better days but it's still too pretty to throw away
