In search of a blog post

All day long I've been trying to catch up on my reading and come up with something for tonight's post. Now I'm late but I have something.
I dug through folder after folder of pictures and settled on this one.

I opened it up in photoshop and made some adjustments and got this.

Then I noticed that the way the shadow was laying on the robin it looked like a blue stripe. An idea hit. I give you the most patriotic robin I have ever seen.

Your robins look much much larger than the robins we have. Ours are 14 cm - a litle smaller than a sparrow. There beaks are quite small and there eyes dark, they have just a small amount of orange-red at the top of their breast and sometimes near their beaks. Their song is one of the loudest you can hear - especially the one that is currently singing around the garden ....

I think this Patriotic robin should replace the eagle as our national symbol :)

You should save that last image to publish later on without any explanation. For it would undoubtedly drive more than a few bird-watchers nuts, which might be a lot of fun to watch.
