No I don't mean bamboo as in the plant. I'm talking about
Wacom's Bamboo fun. If you don't know what it is, check out the link. If you do any kind of editing it's a very handy thing to have. A couple of you had asked how I did my drawings on the computer. Of course the program I create them in is
Photoshop elements. (Do you ever get tired of me saying photoshop elements?) When I'm drawing though, instead of using a mouse I use my bamboo fun tablet and pen.
I have the smallest one there is but since I bought it a couple years ago, I couldn't live without it. Since you're using a pen, it's more like the real thing and it's so much easier to erase parts of pictures as well. You get much more control with the pen than you ever could with a mouse. It also looks really cool in the dark.
See the glowing blue circle at the top of it? This is one of my favorite toys.

Thanks for explaining how you did your drawing. I was pretty confused, but not being crafty there are lots of things out there that I don't know about. How fun.
Have a terrific day. :)
Oh that is so cool, I want one of those. I can't draw with a stupid mouse.
Woof! WOOF! Thanks ... COOL! Mom is thinking about it. She is still learning Photoshop. Mom would like to know if you know how to do vector art in Photoshop? Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
I don't even have photoshop! I want to...but I don't.
So that's how your drawings were made. Pretty cool! I want those too (hope someone will give me lol). I don't know how to draw using mouse, it's very difficult. I'm using Photoshop too but not elements, do not know how to use it yet...
Have a Nice Day Ann!
Thank you for letting us know, it would be fun to play around with. I have absolutely no drawing talent, but my daughter is very good at it. She would love this.
So you draw on the tablet and it ends up in Photoshop? I really need to get caught up on technology.
I don't have photoshop either. But that does look like fun
That is cool and seems like something I need to look into. Thanks for the description and link.
Again, SHOW OFF!!!
oh wow...this is one of the best toys I've even seen....I've always been terrible trying to control the mouse but I'm sure even I could master this....hhhhmmm...birthday present??????
I never did get the hang of 'drawing' with a mouse. I love your little device!
have a great day!
Duni
Coooool! I've never seen one of those (and how could I have missed such a terrific toy??) Methinks one can never be TOO early compiling that all important Christmas wish list...
I always wanted to get something like this, but the only one I ever saw was a very old version at a computer. I never bought it because I was sure it wouldn't work on newer computers. Your post brings them back to the front of my mind. I think maybe I should look into a newer version like yours.
Thanks Ann. That looks like something Maya and I could both use.
We have almost that exact same tablet and we love it!
"I have the smallest one there is?" Is that bad? Maybe I am missing something. Think I'll go back and read the first part again.
I tried a Wacom tablet, but I just couldnt get the hang of it darnnit. It was a big ole mess. I imagine if I had tried more to get the hang of the pen I could have been better but I am too much in for the instant gratification and if I do not get it right away I move on! I should have tried harder.. I love what you do with yours, you are so flippin creative...ever since I was little I admired you for that ya know.
I hate Photoshop Elements and for some reason it won't load properly on my MAC - I want a Corel Program for MAC - they keep promising. And I do so want a tablet but they are pricey - I have this concept in my head I want to get down and my art supplies are long since gone - the Wacom tablet wold be so perfect.
You know, I'm going to lock myself away for a week just to learn how to do all this really cool stuff.
Sandee, you're welcome, you have a terrific day too
Jude I can't either so I love this thing
SGR No idea I can't do vectors in photoshop elements. Wish I could
Buggys it's a lot of fun
January the pen makes it much easier
Tahtimbo, I'm sure you daughter would love it
Beaded tail. You can use the pen just as you would a mouse so it can be used in any program
Roschelle it passes the time and feeds my imagination :)
Poetic shutterbug you're welcome let me know if you get one
FishHawk sorry, give me a suggestion for something else and I'll take a stab at it :)
allotments4you oh yeah, this would be perfect for a gift
Jen you are so right no time like the present to get started on the list. I got mine going already :)
Ratty they are very cool, I would like one a little bigger though
Grampy yes you and Maya could both have fun with this
Daisy isn't it great can't live without it
Don well it's not a problem if you know how to use it :)
Tanyia I can relate to the instant gratification thing but I'm also stubborn. You're pretty creative yourself I've admired your talents as well
Grace never dealt with a Mac, hopefully Corel will come through for you soon
Me-Me OMG I just realized I've been missing your blog. I hope when you lock yourself away you keep posting :)
I have PSE but I'm still nowhere close to learning it all. I think I need a class or something, there is just so much to learn and no time to learn it!!! It just frustrates me.
I have the older version of this, and I couldn't live without it!
You are so talented...sounds hard!
Lin, well just stop on over and I'll help you figure it out :)
Sharkbytes, it's a great toy isn't it?
Gayle, not really, plus I do a lot of playing so I figured it all out pretty quick
