Can you keep a secret? Well if you promise I'll tell you mine.
I'm guilty. This was a totally premeditated act. I am the shooter. I planned it, I carried it out. I did it. I knew that with the road closing it would be the perfect opportunity.
Instead of taking the designated detour I knew a shorter less traveled route to follow. It was perfection, I was alone on the road.
I aimed and I shot.
Further down the road, I spotted another target and I shot again.
Before making a hasty retreat back to my lair I had to make a pit stop for my accomplice.
I actually tried to do this a couple different times but always ended up with cars behind me. This day was perfect for it though. No one behind me and no one coming in the other direction. I stopped right in the middle of the road several times. Probably could have gotten better shots if I would have actually gotten out of the car but I had Duke along for the ride.

This is a perfectly beautiful drive by shooting. And not a single fatality!!
Oh... isn't it so much fun to do something so "naughty" sometimes! You almost feel as if the world is just for you! But... you shared it with all of us, so thank you! Really pretty photos too!
These are really pretty pics. Looks like a nice little detour and Duke looks so cute!
You are so funny, Ann!!
Cute accomplice :)
Such gorgeous photos Ann and your prose is so humorous-- always love stopping by your blog!
You have been found guilty for getting some lovely shots and having a great time!
Was that a real highway department sign, or did you make it back in your sinister crafting lair so that you could have the road all too yourself? Making it even worse, you took a picture of Duke to keep him from ratting you out to the authorities! For shame. For shame. For shame.
a beautiful day, a beautiful companion, beautiful scenery, I will be glad to testify in court, that you HAD to do it, all that mad shooting. wish i had been with you. of course i have never ever never STOPPED in the middle of a road to Madly Snap...
Sounds like you and sweet Duke had a perfect day out 'hunting and shooting'! :)
And you certainly managed to capture a few perfect targets!!
Hope you are having a happy weekend Ann!

Great job Ann. I was afraid you were going to come to a dead end. Nice Pictures.
Some nice finds. I often wonder what people think when they see me standing along the road or up along the fence.Went to 3 fall fests yesterday, a few crafts got me craving for more.
I see how it is. Duke is your partner in crime!
Love the shot of those little buildings. Wonder what they are or were.
Haha, I've done the same thing before! Good thinking!
We sure are glad you did that drive by shooting. What great shots you got too. At least we think they are great shots. A nice round bale of hay out there in that field. Take care an have a super Sunday.
Well Planned escapade!!!
Love the sneaky shots!

That's my idea of a perfect day :O)
I like the photo of the road better than the landscapes LOL
Your accomplice is adorable! Looks like a beautiful day for some drive by shootings!
Great shots! I like the field. I just saw that you have a Westie Adoption link - I'm off to check it out. Could be a dangerous thing for me to do. In a good way.
How fun. Those are the very best kind of drive by shootings. Duke is adorable too.
We are home from the bay cruise so we can get back to normal. We had a fabulous time too.
Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)
Very nice. What is with your accomplice? There are no potty breaks in crime! Sheesh.
Great shots! I think you hit the target everytime!
Congrats, Ann... Great drive-by shooting shots... You did GREAT!!!!
