Amanda (my daughter, for those of you who may be newer around here) and Duke were playing go fetch out in the yard on Sunday.
So where is it Duke?
It's where?
So 4 foot 11 inch Amanda was trying to get the toy out of the tree with a broom and couldn't reach it. Guess who ended up having to go fetch the ladder? I highlighted the area where the dog toy is so you could see just how high up it is.
Such a considerate daughter to take the picture of me so I had blog material.

We bet Duke was enjoying watching you two trying to fetch his toy! Glad you were able to save the day and glad Amanda thought to take photos for a blog post! :)
How thoughtful of Amanda...and how lucky for Duke that you came to the rescue!
That's funny ... Duke checking out the yard and the toy was up in the tree!
LOL risking your neck for a blog post..what a hero you are! ;D
I'm sure Duke will be forever grateful! Good pics!
Someone got a strong throw.. and someone got a stronger arm to retrieve it back. Ain't that what mommies are for.. hehhehehehe
Glad you all had a good day out in the sun.
So, are you still glad to have her back?
Great job Amanda. I bet you did that on purpose so you could get that photo.LOL
LOL, that sure is one considerate daughter. But sure glad we got to see you rescuing the ball. Duke you are so special. Just look at all your caretakers climbing trees for your ball. Take care.
Haha ~ kids ~ always so thoughtful!!

Oh! haha, bit high for Duke to "fetch"! Glad you got to spend time with your daughter :)
Great Pics! Duke must have gotten side tracked by a bug or something?
Have a nice day Ann. And thanks for your recent comment on my blog :-)
aah, Duke.. see how mommy loves you.. she didn't make you wait for Fall :) xx
we have the same problem, when we throw the tennis ball for Jake, there is a big chance it will land in a tree since we live in a jungle, we usually can shake it out, but this tree would be hard to shake. i have a picture of you in my mind trying to shake the trunk of the tree. good job getting it down and for the assistant photographer.
Poor Duke, he usually only chases things who can climb trees.A Mom was needed to solve that problem.
I love how Duke is standing around like "uh uh, I'm not trying to get that. Go fetch it for me." Glad you were able to rescue it for him.
Bwahahahahahaha. Poor Duke. I'm just saying.
Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)
How in the world did Duke's toy get up in that tree?!??? hahaha...

Good grief! Duke is good at playing catch, but I think that one was over his little noggin, LOL!
Mom to the rescue! So Duke hasn't started climbing trees?
What a good mommy! Duke will be forever grateful!
That was a bit high! And don't our kids always get the best pictures of us?
