Stitched

I did a little stitching and made another candle mat. This one I drew myself and then stitched on muslin. After it was done I used different spices along with my coffee mixture to tint some of the areas.
I actually grunged it up more but didn't take a second picture. I stained the whole thing with a mixture of coffee and spices.

  2. So do you stand the candles on these to catch the wax Ann?? Not really sure what a candle mat is however it seems a shame to cover up the stitching!

  4. Well, that certainly explains why so many Muslims are so upset. For I wouldn't like my skin being stitched on one little bit, either!

  8. I do like the picture - did you stain the fence and the post? That's very clever - does it smell?

  13. Clever idea to tint it! Do you have to re-tint it after every time you wash it?
