The other day I was out in the front yard. I happened to look up in to the tree and at first I wasn't quite sure just what I was seeing.
When it finally hit me I had to run back in the house for my camera and luckily they were still there.
I got quite a few shots before they finally flew off into higher branches.

Ann, you should seriously consider adding this link to your bird post today on my Weekend Birdin' Meme.
It opens for linking at NOON Saturday [texas CDT].
I'm thinking these are cedar waxwing fledglings?!!! Not sure tho.
I'm LOVIN' this post. What great timing.
ps...
here is the link to the bird photo blog & meme area. I know for sure all the other birders that share will appreciate your sighting!!

So much of photography is simply about being in the right place at the right time. This is soooo wonderful!!
Wow! You are SO Lucky with that camera girlfriend! LOVE this!

If I had to guess these look like cedar waxwing babies which are one of my favorite birds! We usually see a few in the winter when they come and snack on the berries of our holly trees. Actually one year we had an entire flock of about 80 of them in our yard - it was really incredible.
You can tell Wade I'll take his sweet potato fries and congrats for stopping ... keep up the good work!

they sure are cute and i have never seen birds like this, i am sure Tex will know what they are, you were in the right place at the right time. adorable.
Wow, what a great picture that is. Good for you to catch that. I have never seen birds like them before. Good stuff.
Great photo - I was going to ask what they were but it seems to have been established that they are cedar wax-wings...
I admit, I didn't know what they were. Cute as ever tho. Great photo, Ann!
Happy Weekend and thanks for stopping by! :)
Awww...too cute and then some. I love birds. We have tons in our yard because we feed them.
Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. ☺
Hi Ann,
That photo is amazing they are adorable. What kind of birds are they?
There are so many cute designs for applique . . . I just had to try it. Downloading was like so many things . . . the fear of trying it out weighed the reality :) I can't remember, but I think you said that your machine was a Brother's too. Mine will only store twelve downloads, so I'm interested in finding out what to do after that. It also downloads to a removable file, so I haven't figured out how to save them in my computer. Maybe that's what the cards are for . . . it's all Greek to me. Once I get twelve saved I'll have to figure this out or delete some in order to add another ?!*#??+^/? confusion, LOL
Have a wonderful weekend,
Connie :)
Oh my, you have an infestation of the dreaded bantam chicken buzzards, who are actually much more efficient at devouring carrion than their much larger cousins, the turkey vultures. For the banties leave nothing behind! Could this be a harbinger of what is to come if you continue on that bacon-less diet?
Oh my GOSH what a find!!! They are adorable!
Cedar Waxwings. Perhaps maybe best to not inform Duke about them...
P.S. they look like little bandits!!
Oh how adorable, Ann. Those are little Cedar Waxwing Fledglings.. They are adorable. I've never seen the babies before... SO precious!!!!! WOW--you captured a winner for sure.
Hugs,
Betsy
They're immature Cedar Waxwings!! Nice find. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
What a find! They're adorable! So glad they were still there! :)
I went thrifting today and found a beautiful red coat for $5.49 and retailed for over a $100 new! It's in mint condition! :)
Well that was a great find and a fantastic capture. I notice they are all looking in different directions. I wonder shy? Have a great weekend.
Stunning little characters. Love the dark markings round their face. Quite dramatic.
