Now for the before and after.
This is a wooded area in front of the high school. For the first time ever I noticed a sign (just out of sight of the picture) that says this is the Northwestern cross country 5k trail. I'm thinking this may be a great place to walk.
Now it sort of has a storybook feel to it. What do you imagine you'll find if you walk down that path? Maybe the big bad wolf is hiding behind a tree just around the bend.

The last picture is beautiful! Your edit I presume...It does remind me for some reason of the path that Red Riding Hood took. So is this a good area or a creepy one?
I imagine so many possibilities walking that path. It looks wonderful.
Both are great photos Ann but I'd have to have company before venturing in to the deep dark depths of a forest!
love the edit, did you check the trail for bread crumbs Hansel and Gretel dropped? is there a witch in those woods.. it really does look magical in the edit and a nice place to walk, but is it safe for you alone?
Shouldn't be many skiers. it would be groomed in the winter for easy walking also.Don't wear your red cloak
