Today is the first day...

...of the rest of my life and failure is not an option.

Last year I did so good at losing all that weight and working on getting myself healthier. I foolishly allowed myself to indulge last December (just for the holidays). I've been struggling ever since to get back on the right track. I've seriously disappointed myself by gaining almost all of the weight back.

This week I put my foot down and on Sunday I started up again with tracking all my food with my fitbit. I have to keep telling myself I want to lose the weight more than I want the bad foods.

Since a picture of me drooling over chocolate cake and cookies I give you Mr. Gibbs instead. He's sporting his doubtful look so I think I need to prove him wrong.

Me too! Over Christmas I gained 20 pounds, and have never been able to lose it. Spraining my ankle twice did not help. I am still trying! Beautiful picture of Gibbs!

One sure way to lose weight is to remove wheat from your diet. I know it works. But....its not easy!
Good luck with the struggle, at 71 I can't count the number of times I've lost weight only to put it back on again, I have photos as proof. lol
At the moment I am on a wheat free diet and have already lost a little weight.

It's hard not to gain all the weight back once you've lost it. I have to try to keep my weight down too, mostly to help my back. It feels like a roller coaster sometimes.

Gibbs looks wonderful and a tad skeptical. prove him wrong. I did the same thing, Dec of last year I gained 4 pounds in one month for a total of 7 pounds gained up in 2 months. that is why I started on Jan 20... you can do it. I know you can.

Loosing weight is hard work, but I find that it has always been easier that keeping it off. Oh, to be a skinny person with a fast metabolism.
Wishing you a easy and fast comeback.

Superb Gibbs photo! Please don't go on a 'diet' - eat real food, food that you enjoy, food that you like - just eat less of it. Over 50? Menopause? The odds of dropping that extra 5-10 pounds is slim (no pun intended). And figure out what your bug-a-boo is - sugar, carbs - and work from there. Don't ever deny yourself what you crave - and I promise I won't send See's candy!

It's hard to not eat the good things. It really is. Moderation is key and there are times that goes right out the window.

Have a fabulous day and that's a great shot of Gibbs. Big hugs to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I feel your pain Ann, did the exact same thing myself and am struggling to get back on track too. Sending support and encouragement and hugs to Gibbs! Deb

That's because diets don't work! Don't beat yourself up over it. No one loves you less because of what that dang scale says! Eat what you crave just less of it but the majority of your time have wholesome, real food and everything will work out. Labeling foods as good or bad never works in the long run.

Story of my life.... Gain-Lose-Gain-Lose.... Will it ever end?

Most all of us have been there --me, over and over.... The key is to pick yourself up and start over.... You can do and I'm sure you will.

Hugs,
Betsy
