The first day of the new year was gray, gloomy, cold and rainy. It was also full of possibilities for a bright and shiny new year ahead.
I spent the day with Gibbs doing whatever I felt like doing at the moment. Some of it was spent packing up Christmas decorations, some cleaning out a couple cabinets and some was spent just sitting around with my tablet, kindle or on the computer.
I think it was a half full glass kind of day.

Doing only what you want and feel like is the best!! We all need a day like this every once in awhile.
It's a shame we don't all take a tip from you on that. We all feel quilty if we just lounge about but we shouldn't. Often a day like this sees you more productive the next day. Do what you want Ann.
Hope you get a good 2019 you deserve it.

Sounds, to me, like a perfect day.
That was a perfect day for you. A day of rest and relaxation with your little friend Gibbs. Those kinds of days refresh our spirits. May you have many more in this new year of 2019 ~ FlowerLady

It was a half glass full day because that is all you needed or wanted. You weren't thirsty for more.
I'm glad you and Gibbs had a great day. At least you were home in the warm.
Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Now stop by and get a cup of joe and we will get mine done
You are absolutely right
You have to have days like this to refuel
darn close. I had to cook my own dinner :)
I like that
Yes and it was nice to not have anywhere I had to go
Do you have baked goods to go with that coffee?
I'm so glad you are taking some down time -- it feeds our souls. Best wishes in this new year!
Glad you got some things done. I don't take my decorations down for at least another week or more. I wait until the mood hits me. My goal has always been before my son's birthday on the 20th!
