The party's over

It's back to work for me this morning. I sure did enjoy those 4 days of sleeping in and leisurely drinking my coffee in the morning followed by doing whatever I felt like doing. Oh well, such is life.

Sunday my daughter Amanda and I went to the Pymatuning Lake Festival. That's the craft show that I used to do. It was rather nice just walking around looking at all the different things that people were selling. I can't say that I saw anything truly unique though.

Of course we had to have lunch before we left. Can you really go to one of these things and pass up all the delicious food.

I made 2 small purchases. One was a dip mix that I've bought in the past and loved. It's called vampire slayer. I'm sure you can guess that it's a garlic flavored dip and totally delicious. The other purchase was for Gibbs. I couldn't resist these doggy donuts. I can't remember what the flavors were. They were 50 cents each.

I couldn't leave without taking a picture of the lake.

I have never seen a craft festival with things like this!! It is large and unique. How did Gibbs like his donuts? How do they differ from regular ones?

I love going to these! And to think, Gibbs got donuts!! I bet he devoured them. (Food trucks...oh yum. Last time I tried one, I got a pizza 'cone'. Delicious!) Love the lake view. And to answer your question the berry bush is American Beauty bush.

I like to go to these things just to get either an elephant ear or funnel cake! I would love to go and look around.

Isn't time off a lovely thing??! I am in heaven when I am in the cabin in KY...the fog burns off slowly and mornings start ever so slowly....I think that is why we always go back. It's that feeling of just slowing down.

I'm glad you enjoyed your four days off. I knew you would.

Have a fabulous day back at work. Big hug to you and lots of doggie donuts for Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Bet Gibbs loves that donuts! They look tasty to me. Vampire Slayer...interesting. I love the taste of garlic, esp in a dip. YUM!!!! I love walking around looking better then sitting and selling. Glad you got to get out and had some days off.

This was just the section that had all the food vendors. I didn't take any where the crafters were.
The first donut he wasn't sure about the second he ate pretty quick. These are small and hard, not soft like a real donut

they'll deep fry anything any more. I don't quite get the appeal of a deep fried oreo but to each their own

Gibbs has only gotten one donut a day. As a matter of fact he hasn't gotten one yet today

Ann said...

Well not so fun for him that he had to stay home alone. He wasn't happy about that

They are. I want more of them. It was so wonderful starting the day at a leisurely pace.

Yep, I sure did enjoy. Work wasn't too bad today except it seemed to drag on forever

He wasn't so sure about the first donut. He carried it around and wouldn't eat it but he growled every time I got anywhere near it. He did finally decide it was something to eat and the second one he ate pretty quick.
I've had the dip before and it's delicious.
I think I like looking better than selling too. I also think I enjoy giving things away over selling them.
