cake of the day

The order started out as red flowers and a cross down the center. They called back to change it to fall colors and no cross. They didnt want any writing on it at all

it looks odd without the writing, i wonder if they have something to sit in the middle, like maybe a cross .

Good job! I thought fall the minute I saw it.

Beautiful fall colors, but I wonder why they changed their minds

Seems a little lost without something in the middle...

Very pretty fall colors! Wonder why they wanted a cross than took it off? It would have looked nice in the middle of the cake.

Little strange with no writing. But I love the fall colors. I love fall colors in general. As for your comment on my green thumb, only outside, the indoor plants in the winter cry out often for love and water...

You always do a beautiful job. I wonder why the change? Does anyone ever ask for autumn leaves? Or for leaves and new growth in the spring?

We can but imagine the scenario

"you ordered what!

I thought it was best..

Whose best, YOU need to get it changed NOW...

It definitely looks like Fall!

Ginny, thanks

Anni, all the major fall colors

Grace, I thought so as well

Pam, She said it was some kind of church function and I suppose theye didn't think any wording was fitting for the event.

CheerfulMonk, the woman who ordered it said that when she told whoever else what she ordered they asked her to change it. I can't recall anyone ever asking for autumn leaves on a cake or new growth in spring. Maybe I should do a sample cake like that and see how it turns out

Catherine, lol yep, it was probably something like that

It's pretty! I think sometimes no words are okay. God knows, there is enough of them floating around these days!
