Sunday at work I had another cake order to do. They wanted an orange border and light purple flowers
So we have a manager that works just 3 days a week. This was a job he started after he retired from working as a prison guard. Well he's decided that he is ready to retire completely and his last day will be Oct 26. Unfortunately for me, the boss wants me to take over closing the two nights a week that the other closing manager is off. I told him I don't want to but I'll do it. So there goes my schedule again getting all messed up. I told him this better be temporary because I hate doing this. We shall see.

Oh gosh. If you had refused, would they have fired you? If not, I would have refused! You have earned some consideration. We have been running the heat at night and the air conditioning in the day!
oh no no no on closing, what time does the store close? it will mess with your sleep and also upset Mr Gibbs. will you go in late those days? will they change? or be the same? so sorry
I am wondering a lot of what Sandra has asked...and there should be a pay on grease or nice bonus for this. Even if you go in late.
I turned our heat on recently too, but then it got warm again. Today, it might get to mid-70's.
I sure hope you having to close the store those couple nights will only be temporary.
So you're closing two nights a week. Let me guess what nights those will be. I'm so sorry this is happening to you. Bugger.

To say that your employer takes advantage of you is putting it mildly.
We've turned our heat on occasionally too, and even the air conditioning when it's been too humid out! No sense in being cold or hot, right?
Good luck with that Ann. I hope you don't have to do it for too long. That's a pretty cake! Chilly morning and nights here too and nice during the day so far. Rain and colder weather next week. We will probably have to turn the heat on next week.

Yes, may your closing duties be temporary - and it's not quite time for the air-con switch on my heat-pump as there was a night this last week, where it was on for the evening. And today a gale force wind with no sun but not particularly cold or warm ...
