Shoes

No, I haven't found any shoes yet but this is a story involving shoes. After I picked out the dress my daughter asked me what color shoes I was going to get and I said black. She suggested that I could also wear silver. Well, personal thought on that was, where exactly am I ever going to wear a pair of silver shoes again. I'm pretty sure I'll end up with a black pair.

Any way, I headed to The Shoe Department in the mall to see what I could find. I saw this pair of shoes in the window.

I took a picture of them and as a joke, sent it to my daughter figuring I would get a response like "mother are you kidding?". Nope, her response was those come in silver too. She was checking the stores website to see what they had. Then I even saw the silver ones on the shelf.

My thoughts on these shoes? I would kill myself wearing a heel that high.

The heels would for sure be a deal breaker, but they are pretty. The price we pay just to look good! I find the older I get, the more I want comfort over looks.

I bought silver sandals with 2 inch heels for my daughters wedding. I did manage to wear them one more time at a wedding the next summer but they have sat in my closet since then. Good luck in your shoe search!

I see those on TV, the people on the voice and other shows like that, wear them with dresses and I don't like them. they look good with long pants or long skirts. i say go with what you like, and the color you will use, since anything at all will go with the dress. i used to wear heels but the last time was maybe 25 years ago, now i can't even walk on the platforms they make, i have tried them in stores. i can't even manage a 2 inch heal. they have really pretty flats and they are in also... please your self first

Not for me and I would kill myself in those too. Back in the day I dressed for work and wore heels, but not anymore. I'd go with black too.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

You trip.

Fall down.

Break a leg or hip.

Ambulance Corps has to be called.

The wedding is highly interrupted.

Your daughter wishes she did not suggest them.

You spend the wedding time, in the ER.

Then in operating room, fixing your break.

Days in hospital recouperating.

Weeks, in place where you learn to walk again.

Miss work.

Miss your dog.

Miss your home.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Have I convinced you, your no-no-no idea, is the best???

*haha* Those are doozies, that's for sure. I'm guessing not only your feet but your knees would be killing you by the end of the evening. Did you see that link I sent you to the wonderful shoes I bought for a wedding not so long ago, Ann? Super comfy and not too high of a heel. ~Andrea xoxoxo

I have never worn heels that high...they're bad for even young bodies. Thanks for the laugh. 😀 ❤️

This reminds of that old tradition that you can't use the wedding gift dinner set or fancy wine glasses because they can only used for VIP occasions. The same goes for a Mother of the Bride dress/shoes.

We should use those things - more often, daily if necessary. We only live once.

Who will know Ann, that you are dancing around your living room in your pretty silver shoes...

I know that when I'm in the thrift shop or similar I see "boxes of objects" and they are always something like silver cake forks, a full cutlery set or some wonderful ornate wine glasses. Never been used, been in their boxes 20+ years...

They are a very nice shoe but I myself could never wear one like that.
