Ordinary things

It seems like ages ago, I was very interested in improving my photography skills. I took pictures of anything and everything. After the pictures were taken I spent hours on editing. Sometimes just tweaking lighting and other times doing wild crazy things.

I was in search blog material so I dug through the archives. I often took pictures of very ordinary things.

I took pictures of buttons

I took pictures of pens

I took pictures of a glass dish and a bracelet

I don't know how or why I got away from taking pictures so often. I really need to start picking up the camera again and looking at the world through the lens.

I definitely would like to see more of this. Which I have been thinking the same thing...that I need to photograph the ordinary things and be happy with that.

Exceptional photos!! Yes, get back in the swing of things that make you forget your everyday troubles and get away from your depression. You'll feel better.

I love to see unusual pictures like this, Ann. It puts these items in such a different perspective. I think you should pick up your camera again too. It takes such beautiful photographs. ~Andrea xoxoxo

I just day before yesterday said to my MAD self, use the Nikon, stop with the MADsnapping of the cell. You and I were doing this same thing at the same time. I think it was because digital cameras were a new thing. along came the new smart phone and we lost the camera because the phone is so easy. today post was my first time of sitting outside with the Nikon.. got some great shots of Beau to add the the 800 I already have. ha ha I love these photos, favorite is the bracelet

I remember when you were taking photographs all the time. Then life got in the way. Do what you love, Ann.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I especially appreciate the 'fade,' in the pens photo!

Think one of the nicest things about blogging, is how it encourages us to seeeeeee things. Always looking for a blogging photo idea.

Do take it up again....

Gentle hugs,

I seem to have lost interest intaking things with my camera anymore. Besides, as much as I paid for the thing it's old now and my iPhone takes much better pictures!

Those photos are unique and wonderful. Hopefully you can start doing that again. I know I don't take many photos anymore. Heck I hardly blog! The do believe that last few years have changed us.

I like them all but the button one is my favorite. What kind of camera did you use? It seems these days all the pictures I take are with my cell phone :)
