Who's idea was it any way?

I had a hard time deciding on a title for today's post. I could have used any number of titles.

  • My daughter made me do it.
  • She's a bully
  • Elder abuse

Any way, I said yesterday that there was one more thing I purchased at Christmas Tree Shops. I was browsing and saw a display of various decorations. I read the sign and it said $19.99. Then I spotted the one. I fell in love.

I looked at the price tag and it read $49.99. YIKES! Then I read the sign again and it said "starting at" $19.99. Oh well, I didn't need it any way.
That's when it happened. Amanda told me to put it in the cart. I said no, I don't need it and I'm not paying that much for it. She said "You either put it in the cart or I'm coming back here another day and getting it for you." I reluctantly put it in the cart. When we got to the register Amanda was going to pay for it and I told her I couldn't let her do that, I would buy it myself. I never knew my daughter could be such a bully. She MADE me buy that.

I have to say that it looks absolutely gorgeous on my coffee table. The fall foliage rings come out so I can change this up for the different seasons. The glass jars are glued in. Now all I need are some candles to put in there.

Of course I enlarged it and took a better look. I love it, and it is worth the money because you can fix it up for many different occaions. Snowy pine needles and pine cones for winter! A coincidence for sure, because we are watching a commercial with Flip Wilson in it. The comedian, do you remember him? He was talking about ...I guess it was his wife. Whenever she would buy a dress or something real expensive, she would say "The devil made me buy it". But this is much better, it is a sweet daughter.

It makes you smile so it is worth the money. Plus like you said you can use it for different holidays. I think it's gorgeous.

It's perfect and sometimes it's better to buy that perfect thing than a bunch of little things you settle on. I love it!!!

My heart is doing palpitations and shock is in my face! I would never no never buy anything to sit out as a decoration that cost 49.00. not even a Christms tree. You have a wonderful daughter, I would be the daughter that said to my Mother, do not buy that mother, you can make one just like ti for less than 10 dollars. 3 of the other people commenting are also friends I know and they all buy things like this. all 3 and they are happy, I can't be happy because 49 dollars is mind blowing to me. I suffered from buying 2 pieces of yard art for the ferns that cost 3 dollars for 2 at the Dollar tree. all of this said is my reaction, now for the last line, Enjoy looking at your fall decor. hope it is in the Ann Cave so you can see it a lot

Very pretty. Sometimes daughters are bullies and in this case it's a good thing.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
