On the 15th Amanda and I went to a local craft show and then out to lunch. We went to a place called White Turkey.
This is a seasonal place and it's only open during the summer months. The food was really good but way expensive. For two burgers, one order of fries, and two drinks it was $26.
Seating is all outside. You have your choice of eating at the counter or out back where they have lots of picnic tables with umbrellas.
It's a really popular spot. They were very busy. Because of the price it's not somewhere I will go to often but it's one of those places where you have to stop at least once a year.
In other news, I dropped my car off at the garage yesterday afternoon. I have an appointment today for it's yearly inspection. Hopefully it will pass and not need anything extra.

I know; fast food is getting expensive, like everything else. Their food prices have gone up too, just like ours and they have a higher minimum wage to pay their employees these days. I'm afraid it might put them out of business, but I certainly hope out. Like you, I don't eat out very much, but it's fun now and then :)
We try to eat out once or twice a month, just to get out of the house! Your Turkey place sounds like our old Cups...Started in 1929 and is still going strong. Hamburgers and chicken fried steak, to die for!
Glad you and Amanda enjoyed the time together...I miss that with our Crystal...once in a Moon.

I LOVE BURGERS! and sitting outside to eat them is fun. so glad you had some Amanda Time and got to eat the burger. with the price per pound of ground beef, the price is not shocking. drinks down here are 2.50 each. bob is cooking his eggs and teh expensive egg turner by Pioneer Woman just broke in half, its about a year old. so much for paying more to last longer, will go back to the dollar tree kind
Sounds like a great way to spend a day with your daughter. Everything is getting more expensive. Drinks alone here are going at 2.75-3.25.

It is interesting that it is only open in the summer. So are the burgers great? Glad you had a day out with Amanda.
It's always nice to go somewhere different. I remember a place our son recommended, and it was expensive just like this one. As you say, once a year is okay. Normally we either make our own cheeseburger or go to McDonalds but doing something you don't do on a regular basis is fun.
That is a nice treat once a year!
Hope the car passes with ease. Yeah, those prices are high. it's that way here too.
