shaker card

I came across a picture of a really cute shaker card and decided I wanted to try and copy it. This is the card that I saw

Mainly I wanted to copy the lamb with the shaker part. I didn't necessarily need an exact duplicate. So it was off to Cricut design space to see what I could come up with. His wooly head may be a bit too big and his eyes might look a little on the goofy side but all in all I thought he was rather cute.

It's called a shaker card because the body of the lamb is filled with glitter and sequins that move around when you shake it. Here's the inside of the card.

flaked in Pennsylvania

I typed this post up last week and then it sat in drafts. I'm pulling it out today because the weather is the difference between whether or not I post. That's supposed to be a clever way of saying I've got nothing else.

When I left work on Wednesday afternoon it wasn't all that bad. It was a little cool but I was able to leave with just my sweatshirt on and not my jacket. After I got home it started getting windy. Next thing I knew it was raining and then it turned to snow.

I posted the above picture on Facebook and said that instead of Pennsylvania being called the keystone state, we should be known as the snowflake state.

in case of emergency break glass

Don't worry I didn't physically break any glass, and there wasn't any real emergency. All day it was rather gloomy and then we got a bit of a storm. It rained like crazy and the wind was something else

A new chapter

You all know how stressed I've been at work. I've made the decision to quit my job and dedicate all my time to crafting. I'm handing in my two weeks notice today and then I'll be off and running. Initially I'll be selling my crafts at local consignment shops but plan on opening an online store once I've built up my inventory.

I'm seriously excited for this new adventure. Of course I'll have to make some budget cuts until this really get going but I'm sure it won't be much of a problem.

I'm still not sure exactly what my business name is going to be.

I can't decide if I want to got with Handmade by Ann or April Fools.

Yes, I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself. I had to play some kind of joke today. While the idea of quitting my job and doing crafts all day sounds like fun, I have no desire to sell.
