Down in the man cave, we had mini blinds in the windows and Wade said he wanted curtains. I think his main reason was that the walls are a tan color, the blinds were white and they didn't look so good.
The man wants curtains, I shall give him curtains. Besides curtains aren't hard to make and that gives me an excuse to go to Joann fabric, which by the way is my favorite craft store. I came home with this
and last weekend, I made these
Nothing fancy but they do look much nicer than the blinds. I thought they were a little too short but that's where he wanted them. I was going to make them longer. I also came up with an idea that he's going to do. I suggested he make a valance for over the top using scraps of the wood planking he used for the walls and ceiling.
Still more work to do but it's coming along.
Tomorrow I'll show you what I did with that moose on the wall.

Hey you did a great job - I think they go great in there. Team work! sandie
I love the palid...they look great!...:)JP
They are much easier to clean too. Just toss them in the washer. I like this a lot. Good job.
Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)
That really does look terrific. Can you please come to our house. We need some curtains. LOL. Those are great.
Looks terrific! Wish I could sew!
Looks great! He is a lucky guy to have your talent!
That's funny that he was the one who wanted curtains down there! Good eye though--it's manly, yet a nice touch.
I like JoAnn's too, but I wish they would update their home dec fabrics. They carry the same stuff for YEARS.
Good manly looking curtains!
I think they look great. I've always preferred curtains over blinds. Now where is the Dukester?
Those turned out great Ann! I like the fabric - very manly!
Those curtains are perfect for the mancave! It's all coming together nicely!
Your curtains look great with the wood planking.
I like the Moose...can't wait to see what you are going to do with or to him.:)
I don't care for curtains BUT mini-blinds vs. curtains? Curtains win! the valence will look nice I bet. Can't wait to see what you did with the moose...
The curtains look great Ann...it really looks as if you picked the fabric first and then decorated around the colour in the fabric. A valance would be great too. You could have made one out of fabric but at least this way Wade has to do the work..lol
Can't wait to see what you did with the moose.
they look great! xx
Hi Ann,
you chose the right fabric for the curtains. They fit into the overall decor perfectly!
They look great, Ann. Love the fabric. Goes really well with the wood and rustic decor he's got going on in there. Can't wait to see what you did to the moose!
wishing you were closer, I hate premade curtains and all I have is sterile blinds
much easier to care for than blinds and the fabric is perfect for a man cave and looks great with the moose. can't wait to see the valance, tell him i said HURRY. LOL wish i could sew
I don't know how to use the sewing machine for nuts.. hahahhahaha... i always admire people who can sew their own stuffs. My mom's sewing machine is just collecting dust here. None of us know how to use it... yet.
If you keep publishing pictures of Wade's man-cave, don't be surprised if I show up at your door wanting to move in.
Good addition to the man cave, LOL! I like the idea of adding wood valences too!
I like the ceiling! I just happened to notice those boards.
And I like what you did with the moose--very cool.
I wanted to thank you for this excellent read!! I definitely loved every little bit of it.

There is something satisfying about making curtains. I like plaid.
