A star is born

I've seen a lot of stars made out of rulers and yard sticks and finally got around to making one of my own. I found the wood rulers at Wal-Mart for 47 cents each. They have a big hole on one end and I drilled holes on the other. After staining the rulers I tied them together with jute twine. They still slipped around a little but a bit of glue in one spot took care of that.

A drill? Way to go Ann. I haven't seen these ruler stars but like the look. Like the candle sticks too. :)

This is great. If you hadn't glued them together then you could have used it as a puzzle!!

Nice to be back and catching up with everyone but I haven't commented on your other posts as I know you don't reply to them!!

The star looks great standing against the candles! They looked aged with the beautiful way you stained them!

if you painted this red, white and blue, you could sell it to all the people who live in Texas. for some reason I thought Texas Star, maybe because 4 of my blogger friends live there and post stars a lot.. you are so creative. i had no idea there was anything in WM that was 47 cents.
