Subtle signs

Last weekend I was out in the yard in search of something that would let me know that spring really was going to arrive. I found a few subtle hints here and there.

It's spring fever.  That is what the name of it is.  And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!  ~Mark Twain

Springtime is the land awakening.  The March winds are the morning yawn.  ~Quoted by Lewis Grizzard inKathy Sue Loudermilk, I Love You

It's lovely to find those signs isn't it;) Spring is definitely on it's way. We have some warmer temps over here, but it's still very windy, but nice to ditch the winter jackets and shoes at least. Enjoy your day!

We are seeing those subtle signs now too Ann. Better late than never I guess. We would usually have terrible winds in March as spring starts to show it's first signs of life but with it being so late this year the winds are with us now in force. I hope they pass soon...i really would love to have a still day where I can here the birds twittering as they start to look for their mates!!

We were missing spring and sun so much ... I convinced my husband to head south. What a difference! I can feel the darkness lift when I start seeing palm trees!! Sure hope it is springlike when we return! Love these pics!!

Mark Twain was so right - I usually get a massive attack of Spring Fever - not so much this year since so much stays green around here all year long...

I love spring the very best. We've had all the buds (colorful flowers on the fruit trees), and now everything is green. The lawn needs mowing again. Yep, it's my favorite time of year.

Have a fabulous spring. My best to Duke. ☺

It got into the 80s here yesterday, and it is now in the 50s, while heading for 32 tonight. At least they have stopped calling for a chance of snow anytime soon.
