I guess I've been in a bit of a crocheting mood lately. Maybe it's the cooler weather that has me thinking about warm scarves and cozy blankets. Since it takes me forever to crochet a whole blanket scarves, cowls and other little projects satisfy my craving to create something quick.
After doing the infinity scarves I decided to try a pattern for a cowl. When the wind blows I like to have something extra warm around my neck to keep the chill off.
The pattern comes from Fiber Flux and is called Meringue Cowl
Instead of the yarn called for in the pattern I used what I had. I used two strands, one was Red Heart super saver and the other was a homespun yarn.
This picture cracks me up because obviously I was confused as to where the camera was. I don't know what the heck I was looking at.
While this cowl is perfect size for an adult, it should be noted that the size may not be suitable for everyone.

I like both pictures, your's is lovely because it looks spontaneous and not posed and Duke would look lovely any how.

Pretty funny!
Duke looks cute in the cowl ^_^
i really really like this one.. it is pretty and looks great and can be worn with anything. i can't wear things around my neck, not even a necklace, but if i could i would want one.
It looks like Duke has a beard!
Ann....I must say you have a beautiful smile!!! And the color of yarns you chose is perfect for your complexion!!
:::wishing it was cold enough HERE for a cowl:::
Hahahahaha!!! OhMyWord! The look on Duke's Face is a Hoot!!

Oh Duke, just look at what you have to put up with, the darn dressing up. It is just a tiny bit big for ya. But it sure is pretty. Take care.
Perfect color and so cozy looking! Bet you'll get lots of use from it!
You are adorable and very talented too.
Duke does not like this dress up thing. I can just tell. Did you really see that look?
Have a fabulous day. My best to Duke. :)
Oh you are looking marvelous!
You both look fantastic! Beautiful creation and sounds easy too (if I crocheted.)
Did you snap this yourself? It is a perfect portrait! It is quite hard for me to take my own picture, even in the mirror the camera covers my face! You look just divine and the cowl suits you perfectly. I think these and the scarves would really sell like hotcakes at a craft fair, you would be sold out.
Oh Dukey Pookie....you look so handsome in a cowl scarf! Great color!!
I love seeing that beautiful woman --with the cowl.... And --Duke is beautiful also!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Lovely color on it, and it looks like it would be cozy warm in the winter! And Mr. Duke looks so unhappy there, I think he deserves TWO biscuits for this modeling gig.
I wish it were cold here so that I needed one. :) You look fabulous! Duke cracks me up!
Show them your new fall wreath already will ya!?!
love it....
and Duke is such a trooper!!
Love this! It does look warm. I see Duke even likes it too!
I've been missing your craftiness so had to look back at what you've been doing and see you've been busy! I love the stick piece and the crocheted scarf/cowl too! What a lovely photo of you and of course Duke is always a handsome model!
I love both of you in that scarf!
Oh you both look so warm and cozy!
Yup, going to need those soon.
Happy Sunday Ann and Duke!

What a pretty cowl! I like that color on you! And Duke too haha he is such a good sport.
That looks quite elegant on you. On Duke it just looks warm.
Love this cowl on you Ann...the color is perfect. It's a great photo too!
Duke looks good too. But maybe a tad overwhelmed! :)
This looks so cozy - I could do with one especially when you go to one of those shops that has the air con on icy blast throughout the winter. The card shops over here seem to be the worst for that. This would be ideal when looking for Christmas cards ..
Love your crochet cowel Ann, it's hard to say who looks prettier in it, you or Duke! :)
Great smile!
