I can't believe I was actually browsing through all the Christmas stuff they have out in the dollar store already but I confess I was.
I bought one two dollar item that really isn't just for Christmas.
I found some battery operated LED candles. They take two AA batteries and they stay lit for 8 hours and go out for 16. So long as they batteries are in it, it will continue it's cycle of 8 on and 16 off.
I only bought one and now I'm wishing I would have bought a couple more.
I put this one in my kitchen window

This is an awesome thing. I may have to go looking.
I'm looking at Christmas stuff too! Christmas arrives faster than you think :)
cool, and cheap... and not dangerous like the fire kind i love... they would be dog proof, from the dog who turned over our lamp sometime during the night trying to get a paper towel bob left on the end table
Fun! The dollar store always has good stuff.

What dollar store pray tell?!!!!
I like this concept of putting it in your window. They used to do that way back when....right?
I have larger ones, they are fun
They are neat indeed. I'm just avoiding Christmas at this point. It's too nice for me to think of Christmas.
Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)
Those are my kind of candles! Hate the flame and wax and smell...I could deal with a couple of those...
I confess that I purchased a few Christmas decorations. Hobby Lobby bought their stuff out over a month ago. I bought a big gingerbread guy to hang....somewhere....I'll find a spot!
Love those candles, as you can use them all year long.
Don't you just love the dollar store!
Well, isn't that clever! I still need to make that Dollar Tree run soon to see if I can find the goodies you do!
Nice- they look like the ones from my childhood without the cord.
Those LED candles are nice, Ann. Mrs. Jim came home with a vew she got for $2 at Peer One. They were on sale from about $6. A down side is that these use a lot of expensive batteries.
We have some from a couple of years back that use the calculator batteries, one. They were cheap too, voitive size. She put one in the jar where the one she got and it worked just as good as better than the Peer One one.
Being in electronics, I am glad to see this use for the LEDs. Plus the price is really good.
I came from your comment at Nancy's. I was looking for Ann Payne who left a comment on my Five Randoms. You have a nice, comfy blog.
..
I think we need to shop Early for this Christmas!!
Love the candles!

cool idea on the automatic on/off function...I suppose you just have to be careful which time you first switch it on.
I didn't realize they worked that way. What a great find... I think you may need to get some more.
Hugs, antonella :-)
