Be careful of what you let me get my hands on

Wade should have hid that sledgehammer from me.
I started pounding away on the railing of the deck steps

Next thing you know we had a pile of wood like this.

That led to men with chainsaws and the deck looked like this

Finally it was reduced to this.

The new deck is up but unfortunately I'm still working on old pictures (like a month old almost) I'll get pictures of the new deck up as soon as I can

Looking forward to seeing pics of your new deck :)
We've been wanting to renovate our terrace, but with all this rain coming down we'll have to postpone.

Ugh. That looks like an expensive project.

I'll bet it is nice now that it is done though!

Ripping things down can be fun and therapeutic!

I can't believe you didn't get in with the chainsaw crew. I spend a lot of time on my deck and have it covered.

I bet your new deck is awesome! My hubby helped my dad build a deck before we left Florida. There are a lot of decks in NC, but in Florida people who live on lakes are the only people in need of them. Everyone else has concrete patios. :)

Wow Ann, that is quiet a big project. I can not wait to see the finished new deck.
Keep Smiling.

Boy I bet that session with sledgehammer got rid of a lot of tension! I bet a deck is a terrific thing to have - but I live in an apartment so not something I can have - but I wish...Can't wait to see pics of the new one.

I bet I can guess who/what you were hitting with that sledge hammer too. You were a bit miffed the other day.

I'll await the picture of your new deck.

Have a fabulous day. My best to Duke. ♥♥♥

Ahhhh---a new deck... We got a new one a couple of years ago--and love it. We were able to salvage some of our posts and some of the anchor posts since they were still in good shape... Can't wait to see pictures of yours.

Hugs,
Betsy

Forgot to say that we waited a year for our wood to age.. Then we had it stained... Shouldn't have to touch it again for MANY years.

Hugs,
Betsy

Well, at least you used it on the deck! :) How exciting for it being all new though! We just stained ours Sunday. Oh how I hate that.
