In an attempt to make things a little more fun at work I bought little stockings for everyone in the deli/bakery departments.
I hung them around the door with a sign saying to secretly share some holiday cheer with your co-workers.
Because of certain situations in our area I expected my stocking to remain empty most of the time. I surprised by the results of this. The people who I thought would do it the most for certain ones rarely did it at all. I started getting things in my stocking from someone who wasn't even in the department so I added a stocking for her so she could also get little treats. Then it was 4 of us who were putting things in every day (almost) Next it went down to three of us who had our stocking stuffed full on a daily basis. I can't say if everyone liked the idea or not because several of them never said a word about it but I know I had fun and will hang them again next year.
Today's index card
I have to thank Sandra for the saying on this one.

I love that idea, Ann! Some people really shine when you don't expect it! Fun card!
I think that was such a good idea. Everyone must have liked it is they kept putting things in the stockings. Love the card. Too cute.
that was a great idea.. and at least a few of you had fun with it. that is one of my favorite Santa jokes.
I see where all those Christmas ornaments that you made went...
What a fun thing to do. I would have loved this. You're so smart.
Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and my very best to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
That was a fun idea! If I knew it earlier I would've had my hubby try it at work for his minions to have some holiday fun. Maybe next year! Cute card too!
How neat of you to help spread some Christmas Cheer and Joy at your work place.... I love the idea ---and for the ones who enjoyed it, I'm sure it was worth it...
Love love love that saying.....I had never heard it..
Merry Christmas.
Hugs,
Betsy
Isn't it funny how people jump in when you least expect them to?? Happens to me every year at work. I think they won't be excited about the Snowman making contest or Gingerbread House decorating contest...but they wait for it each year. Go figure.
Merry Christmas, Ann. Not sure how much I will be around this week, but I wanted to wish you a good holiday. Give Gibbs a smoochie...if he isn't in a bitey mood.
Great fun with the stockings. I failed to get one up,but maybe next year.I have been moving all week and spending some time shopping.
Since energy costs are way down all over, I suppose very few are still thrilled with getting coal in their stocking--huh?
