Timber!

This tree sits just outside of our property. You can't tell so much from the picture but it's mostly dead. Pieces of it have fell off several times and we are always the ones to clean it up.

When I went to let Gibbs out Saturday morning it was still dark but I could see that there was a very large piece of the tree laying across the top of the shed.

Once it was light out I was able to see that it wasn't actually on top of the shed and didn't even cause any damage. It sure did make a big mess though. There are pieces of broken branches all over the place.

Card for today

A close call with that branch.Sometimes insurance won't cover that as an act of god.

Great card and oh so true. There are lots of askholes out there. Glad that branch wasn't any bigger that fell. Have a good Sunday.

You got lucky with that branch. Who's tree is that? If it is on city property, you may be able to request that it be taken down so you don't have damage in the future.

Looks like that tree needs to come down. I'm glad there wasn't any damage to your shed.

I love the card and I know some people like that.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches for Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Have you tried asking the people who own the property the tree is on to remove it? They might just surprise you by not being aware of the dead tree and quite willing to remove it. Thankfully, our dead tree is now down and no longer a great concern when the weather forecast is calling for high winds or worse.

We had a couple of dead trees removed this year. It's sad to see a dead tree but dangerous if stuff is falling off it.

Love, love, love that card, I know more than a few askholes LOL! Glad that your shed wasn't damaged but perhaps it is time that your neighbors cut the tree down?! Deb xo

I'm glad it didn't damage your shed. I have two big trees in my front yard that are constantly losing branches. Last year a big branch came down on top of my house. It didn't damage anything either, but I had to call someone to take it down because it was so big.
