Down the street and past the graveyard

A couple things I saw while out for my walk one day.

This house is down the street from me. I like the way she did this.

The sayings on some of these headstones were quite clever.

Here lies the father of 29
There would have been more
but he didn't have time

Here I lie
and no wonder I'm dead
For the wheel of a semi
went over my head

Here lies my wife
I bid her goodbye
She rests in peace
and now so do I

When your razor is dull
but you need a shave
think of the man
who lies in this grave

Here lies John Yeast.
Pardon him for not rising

Here lies Lester More
4 shots with a 44
No less no more

It must be fun seeing all the decorations for Fall and Halloween! Except for maybe a pumpkin or two, nobody does that over here.

I like her decorations, more fall than Halloween scary stuff. it looks good and the tombstones are funny. the second one though was not funny because that is how my granddaddy died when I was 9 years old.

Some folks do some really clever decorations for fall and Halloween. I love the poems the best.

Have a fabulous day Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I bet most of those are real epitaphs. My favorite has always been - "I told you I was sick".

Like what your neighbor did and the writings on the head stones.

Very clever! I don't like Halloween so don't ever decorate for it but it does look like fun!
