I use my old cell phone for my alarm clock. I would use the new phone but for some reason I can't hear it going off as well as I can the old one. The other night I was checking to make sure the phone was charged enough before I went to bed. I accidentally hit the messenger app and there in front of me I saw Wade's name. Of course I had to scroll through the messages. Nothing much was there, just the typical will you pick up this thing or that, until I got to this....
All he says in those 6 seconds is "Hey Ann, you mine as well get the eggs while you're out" but let me tell you the value of those 6 seconds is priceless. I lost count of how many times I've listened to it.

What a wonder. I have kept messages on my phone from friends who have died. Kept them for years. I hope this brings you comfort and makes you feel good!!
I sometimes save messages from family members for just this reason. It's good to know you have gotten some good feelings out of yours.
Wade used to immediately delete all texts and voicemails. I've never worried much about it. Now I wonder what might be on some of the older phones that I still have.
I never seem to delete messages unless they are junk ones. Now I"m glad that I don't.
That's a keeper!
I am like wade, I delete messages as soon as I read or listen. so glad you accidently found this one and it is comforting to you... I kept clicking on the message to hear his voice until I finally realized it was a copy not the message.
It sure is. Now I wish I would have saved voicemails too.
WOW, what a gift for you to have!!!! Priceless.
I think losing their voices is the most painful. We have photos, we have memories, we even have material items - but the sound of their voice seems most precious and the hardest to lose. Now you can still hear his voice in your head but as the years go by the sound seems to fade. Most precious to have their voice.
Exactly. Those photos are nice but the sound of their voice is such an amazing thing to hear.
What a precious find, Ann.
Have a fabulous day, my friend. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
I went to a medium a few times and she would say that this is a sign from Wade. I don't know if you believe, but I like to think it was him. Either way...how wonderful that you could hear his voice again.
I think it was meant to be that you pushed that button by mistake. I bet it was nice hearing his voice again.Sad but nice.
Have a super day Ann.
I generally wake up when I need too. Have a alarm clock I have never used, may try it this week.
It really was
I've always thought it would be fun/interesting to go to a medium. I do believe in signs and yes it was awesome to hear his voice even for just those few seconds
Well I would skip the alarm clock if it wasn't for having to be at work so early. I can't always guarantee that I will be up at 4 am without it
I'm so glad you saved it.
(((HUGS))) I love when God sends us a special gift like that.
a good memory in a sad way...or is that the reverse...the only sounds I have of my past folk is in my head, either their voice, their stance or what they were doing at that precise moment. It would be good to have the real (but recorded) voice when I was "remembering"...
so am I
I think maybe it's a little of both.
What a gift you got in those 6 seconds! I'm glad you have a recording of his voice.
