a mixed bag kind of day

Yesterday was pretty much a mixed bag. Of course I started my day off with the computer and coffee. I do have my priorities you know. Next I paid some bills which is never much fun but a necessary evil.
I rounded it out with laundry, a little bit of cleaning out, and cooking a pot of soup. this one is called easy healthy chicken broccoli soup. It's one that I had pinned on Pinterest and finally got around to trying it. It was okay but not necessarily the best soup I've ever had

That soup looks kinda like ...no way. I'm like Sandra & liking broccoli & cheese, but adding chicken wouldn't be something I'd add.

Sounds like a typical morning in my world. I love having bills paid for the month. Sorry your soup wasn't very good, I'm not thrilled with the soup I made for this week either.

It's a good time of year to make soup. I made stew last week for the first time in a long time and it sure was good. Enjoy your day!

I hate paying bills! Watching that checking account balance go down so drastically is really a bummer! Necessary evil for sure! That soup looks good but if it's healthy it never tastes as good as you would like!

Paying bills are necessary for sure. Feels good to know owe anything. The soup looks good. Sorry it wasn't that good.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

I love the feeling when laundry is done and the house is clean. I know...I'm weird like that. Doesn't it seem like you just paid those bills yesterday? Now that I do it all electronically, I feel like I am doing it all of the time.

Funny, I was just looking at your page on Pinterest yesterday! This looks good. I think I will go back and re-check your recipes.

It's kind of disappointing when you try a new recipe and it is not all that great, isn't it? I have had that happen a couple of times.
Hope you have a really great week. xo Diana

Soup looks good but it is a shame when things are not as good as they look. Sounds like you got a lot done. I did that on Sunday....cleaned and laundry but then I needed to finish up and do more on Monday and I did NOTHING. Sort of one of those days where my body said...ENOUGH. Today, went to work in town for 4.5 hours, came home, fed the furs and laid down to take a nap from one to five thirty. That makes the second day of getting nothing done. Here is hoping you have a great week.

I wish the soup had been more of a plus, but at least you tried it and have that too off your list. I hope you had some fun to celebrate.

The soup looks good. I will have to look up Chicken Broccoli soup recipes as Broccoli is good for you and I like it. Maybe with some wild rice.
