As long as we're on the subject of dog walking, since yesterday was such a beautiful day I took Gibbs out for a walk when I got home from work. And yes, I had my little blue poop bags and I cleaned up after him every time he did his business.

The dog walker
You may recall a recent post of mine about the man who walks his dog up my street and lets his dog go in people's yards and doesn't clean up after it. After discovering that the man was actually a Borough council member, I posted it on Facebook. His wife left several comments stating that she knows for a fact that her husband always cleans up after the dog. Blog pal Lin jumped to my defense and said that maybe if she were to talk to her husband about cleaning up then problem solved. The wife continued to defend her husband and said that she would like to see a video of him not cleaning up after the dog. Well after that post on Facebook the man stopped walking his dog on my street. I heard from a friend who works at the Borough office that they had a complaint about him again. Apparently he changed his route but he didn't change his habits. He's still not cleaning up after the dog.

Bob gets soooo upset if he steps in poop while cutting our grass. We have a walker that only walks once in a while that leaves his dogs where ever it falls. once we were walking Big and i had left the bag at home. we finished the walk, brought him and bob home and i went back to pick it up. 2 blocks away. and of course he chose the BEST looking yard. i was terrifed she would go out and step in it although it is rare to see anyone in that yard.
now we have a harness for Beau that has a carry pouch for bags. he has never once pooped when on leash
I am late today because I was on line for almost 2 hours finding bob and appt for vacine.. got one for wed at noon. woo hoo... could not find one for me
I pretty much hate people these days. What a jerk that guy is! And his wife defending him was nice for him, but does she REALLY know what he is doing? Really?? When I read that post, I said to my husband: If that was us, I'd be like "Joe...you need to make SURE you pick up poop and everyone sees you picking up the poop. If there is doubt, then you need to make a giant flourish of picking up the poop so there is no question. And you'd BETTER be picking up the poop if I'm going to stand up for you."
Glad he switched streets so that you don't have to deal with it anymore. Problem solved! Hooray!
That's one of my pet peeves too... people letting their dogs poop in other people's yards without picking it up. People allowing cats to roam and do the same is another one. A third pet peeve of mine is someone allowing their dog to poop in their own fenced-in yard but then never cleaning it up. *sigh* I'm glad you spoke up about the "councilman". At least you solved your problem and he won't walk his dog by your house anymore. Hopefully others will report him (or at least run OUT of their house and scream at him) who see his behavior. Idiot! This is beyond belief...well maybe not. Something they're above the law. All you need (you, being a general term) 8s to catch him & slap a hefty fine.

Ugh! Tell me about it. In front of our house there is a green patch (belongs to our house) and it seems people let their dogs poop there and we have to clean up the mess.
We installed a camera recently and the dog walkers have disappeared ;-)
Blogger comments have been a pain in the patootie today.
Shame on this nasty man. There are so many that are above caring for their babies. Shame on the both of them. Him for doing this and her for defending him.

I daresay females are better at picking up after the dog than males are.
What is WRONG with this man!!!! This makes me mad, but what makes me the maddest is not as much the deed as the denial! He and his wife seem to be very dishonest, unless she really believes he is cleaning up. Well, at least he is gone from your area. Too bad you can't stalk him with a video camera...

How would his wife know if she's not with him when he walks the dog? Most people around here clean up after their dogs, but some don't. When I had a dog I always cleaned up after her!
Well at least you know the truth and his wife needs to stop defending him! Glad you got out for a walk.
