Saturday

My day off on Saturday certainly flew by. It started off with me sleeping in till almost 7. That is so unlike me. Normally on a day off I don't sleep past 6.
First on the agenda once I had my coffee and blog time was to take care of the taxes. I decided this year I was going to do them myself instead of paying H&R Block. I don't get a very big refund so having to pay someone to do them makes it even smaller. I debated between using the H&R Block website or TurboTax. I ended up going with Turbo Tax. That's what Wade always used.

Next on the list was the laundry. By the time that was done it was well into the afternoon and I felt like the day was shot. I made some dinner, washed the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen then called it a day.

I can only hope that Today will be more fun. But first I'll need to get some bills paid.

We've used Turbo Tax for years. Easy program to work though and it lets you know if you've done something wrong. Great program for doing your taxes.

I'm glad you had a productive day off.

Have a fabulous day off today too. Scritches to Gibbs and a hug to you. ♥♥♥

I always feel like I will die with dishes left to do and laundry, and this just made me think...there will be bills coming. Just the electric, phone, etc...but we don't get away from them. Ever.

On that cheery note, good for you doing your taxes...I used to do ours all the time..

My mom did my taxes all my life cause messing with numbers and things like taxes freaked me out. When I lost her I did Turbo Tax and it was really easy. However, this yr, and I need to work on that, I need to get someone to do mine since I sold and bought a house. I am not screwing that up. Plus since my home was not like a basic buy I need to know how to handle that. You see, the price of the house being sold was to be split three ways, when I bought it I only had to pay splitting the cost two ways, and I really did not need to pay me my portion! Screwy and scary to mess with that. Beautiful day today and I so need to so something but right now, that is not happening fast.

Paying bills doesn't sound like too fun of a start to your day, Ann! But getting your taxes done is a big thing chalked off your list, that's for sure. Since we're retired our taxes is different now... harder, in one sense. We always got a refund "back in the day" but now we have to pay. Every time we take money out of the IRA for a home repair or something, that's income that has to be declared on our taxes. Last year we had a number of things we needed IRA money for so.... we have to pay quite a bit back to Uncle Sam. Hubby says we're going to have taxes taken out of each withdrawal as we make it, rather than making a special trip to the bank to withdraw only tax money. I don't see what difference it makes but he says it would be easier on him "mentally". *haha* Whatever! Have a great week! ~Andrea xoxo

I'm glad you were able to sleep in and at least got a lot of things off your list of things to do. I did our taxes with TurboTax weeks ago, Andy will do them separately so we can catch mistakes.

Glad you are doing your own taxes. I think it is pretty easy unless you have some outstanding issues like people here have noted. I hope yours went well!
