That's exactly what the headline will read if Gibbs doesn't straighten up and fly right. He woke me up at 3:00am Wednesday morning with the whining and barking. I yelled for him to go lay down and go to sleep. I just fell back asleep and he started up again at 3:30. Then one more time at 4:00. I could have gotten out of bed to see what his problem was but it was 3:00am. When I finally got out of bed and went downstairs to let him outside I discovered that he had pushed the gate out and went over to the other side of the basement (the Ann cave). That wouldn't be a problem except he left a pile of poop on the rug and peed on the couch in 4 different places.
Go ahead and tell me just how cute he is. At this moment I'm just not seeing it. He's really trying my patience.

Ih, my...Gibbs, you better straighten up and fly right!
What do you think is going on? There must be some reason...
oh nooooooooooooooo - something has upset his applecart - hope you discover why/what
virtual hugs to you
He may be lonely? Wanting attention? I think he tried to warn you. Maybe.
I think he was telling you he had to go, when Beau wakes me up it means outside. of course i don't have to go outside in cold icy weather. poor you, poor sofa and poor Gibbs. Beau lets us know he has to go buy getting in our face and staring when we are awake, he never lies.
When they have to go they have to go. I hear you though. It's frustrating when they do their business on our rugs and furniture. Been there and done that.
Have a better day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
He tried as best he could, Mom, to tell you he had to go potty... really really bad. He held it as long as he could. Next time just let him out, Mommy... it's much easier than trying to clean up the mess.
In all seriousness, have you tried limiting his water & food intake after 7pm? Do you let him out as the very last thing you do before going to bed? Try to remember that if he's potty trained, he does NOT want to go inside the house. It brings him shame and makes him feel guilty. He'd much rather go potty outside and will hold it as long as he can... but then the dam has to break.
(((((((((((Ann))))))))))))) I know how hard you work and how you need your rest, my friend. Maybe try these two suggestions I gave & see if it helps both you & Gibbs get a better night's sleep.

Yikes. Hard on both of you. I like the suggestions offered here...and the thoughts behind them. Either way, it sucks. I'm sorry, Ann. I hope you two can figure this out.
I agree, that he HAD to GO.
And I also know the reason he is so mixed up, ordinarily, about 'where' to go.
I think it will come down to Your Quality of Life.
But how you will deal with it, I don't know.
If it was here, would have him put to sleep, by the vet.
But I also know, that is costly.
-sighhhhhh-

Poor you and Gibbs. Hard to figure out what they might want especially at that time of the morning. Hope you aren't too tired today.

Oh my, that was not good at all! So was he waking you up to go outside or for you to see what he did?
My heart goes out to both of you. Maybe a new home isn't a bad idea if someone has the time for him...you're already overloaded.
OOPS.....Gibbs you are trying to see just how long she will keep you???
Uh-oh! I feel for you Ann. Do better Gibbs!
