The weather was gorgeous and I wasted the majority of the day doing nothing inside. Gibbs was quite disgusted with me and not at all interested in what was on the tv.
I did pop out into the front yard for a bit to see what I could see. There's still snow left on the ground but a whole lot less than what we had.
You can actually see grass now.
If you ventured into my back yard you would also see a whole lot of mud.
I like the hydrangea even when they are just all dried up like this. I never know if you are supposed to leave them go or cut them off.

It still looks like a pale brown flower. That's O.K., there will be plenty of beautiful days coming up.
Spring is on its way, even if slowly. 🌹
Leave them on till the spring.
I remember the days when I couldn't wait for Spring to arrive. Now, I wait for rain!! Everything is so brown here.
Love that Gibbs!!
"Stop deadheading in the fall, when bigleaf hydrangeas produce their last flush of flowers, to enjoy the dried blooms throughout the winter," she says. "These can be removed to help produce healthy buds in the spring."Jul 21, 2020 so says google girl. brahaha you knew I would search. they are beautiful, I would cut them and bring in the house for a vase
poor disgusted Gibbs. hurry springtime
I love the dried blooms almost as much as when they are alive and colorful.
Spring is coming, Ann. You're closer to spring than winter.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
The look on Gibbs face cracked me up! Looks like spring is on it's way - fingers crossed!
I think I have seen dried hydrangeas in flower arrangements. They look very pretty to me. Gibbs' face just about says it all, lol! Glad your snow is slowly going.
I like the like of the hydrangea. I know nothing about plants so clueless if it should have been cut or not. Gibbs looks sweet out there! Yay on seeing grass! Hopefully the end of winter is in sight shortly down the road!
betty
I love your hydrangeas too, Ann. Even in "death" they're beautiful. And of course I love-love-love Gibbs too. That face tho! ~Andrea xoxo
Hooray for seeing some grass outside. I hope that continues. Of course the mud isn't much fun. I love the photo of Gibbs.
