The one day, I had Gibbs out in the back yard. As I was standing there waiting for him to inspect every blade of grass in his reach, I see two large dogs approaching through the back yard.
Gibbs started barking like crazy, I was trying to get him in the house and those dogs were headed right for us. I braced myself for a nasty confrontation that would not likely end well for Gibbs. He kept barking at them and they were simply curious.
I kept trying to coax Gibbs back in the house all the while telling the two dogs to go home. Gibbs was not cooperating. The big black dog however, thought he might like to come in. He didn't seem the least bit offended when I closed the door blocking his entrance.
They stuck around for a bit, rudely reading all of Gibb's pee mail.
And then they were on their way. Gibbs was not a good host to his visitors. They were very friendly though and didn't seem fazed by it.

Were they just wandering around by themselves?
We don't often see dogs out on their own. Somebody would assume they were strays and take them in and try to find their owners.
I Love the “pee mail” bit, too—classic dog humor. Glad it ended peacefully and no fur flew. Just another unexpected backyard adventure, huh?
I am glad that they were at least friendly and Gibbs is a good little guard dog.
Gibbs is quite the guard dog. Hope the dogs found their way back home again.
I'm glad they were friendly and not offended. 😊
I am glad it all ended well - you were lucky. Do you know who those dogs belonged to?
Looks like some dogs got out of their fence. Hopefully their owner came looking for them. I'm glad all was well that ended well. ~Andrea xoxo
I'm glad they didn't bother Gibbs. I hope they found their way back home.
