I survived

I did it, I made it through the week. Now I can sit back, relax and laugh at the people who have to work tomorrow and take care of the last of it. I have a whole year to recover before I have to do it all over again.

Tonight I've got a few more pictures from last Sunday. I chose these three pictures because I was going for a theme here. Can you guess what the message is?

Before I give you the answer I wanted to tell you about what I'm doing tomorrow. A friend at work asked me if I would take pictures for her daughters wedding. I agreed but made sure I let them know that I have NEVER done this before and I really can't guarantee anything. Well, that's what I'm doing tomorrow. I have a secret to tell you. "I'm scared to death that all the pictures are going to be horrible" I'll feel just terrible if I don't get at least a few good ones. I may not get any sleep tonight worrying about this....lol I'm taking my trusty tripod with me, hopefully that will help. What if the lighting is horrible, what if my batteries die, what if......
What if I stop worrying for now and tell you the message that I was trying to portray through pictures? Did you guess "Goodbye to Summer"? If you did then you get a gold star.
Well have a great weekend everyone. I'm sure I'll be back before it's over.

You have nothing to worry about. Judging from the pictures I have seen on your site, you have a gift for photography.
I'm glad you made through today. I get to make a loaf of sourdough bread tomorrow :)

If the pictures you have of "Goodbye to Summer" are an indication of your capability as a photographer, I do not believe the wedding pictures will, by any stretch of the imagination, come out bad. Have a wonderful weekend!

You'll do Great with the pictures! Just take extra batteries! Have FUN with it! Some friends asked my daughter Crystal to do the same thing and she'd never done it before Either! They turned out wonderfully! She just thought of poses that She wished she had to remember that special day with...hands together showing their rings, the look on their parents faces...etc...Have FUN!

This is really a double-edged sword: a great compliment of your friend who obviously admires your work and trusts that you can deliver on the day; the worry if the camera plays up and the pictures are not of the usual quality.

You do take some wonderful photographs and on the day I am sure that everything will run smoothly ... I wonder if your friend will allow you to share at least one of the pictures with the rest of us? I hope so ...

Good Luck and best wishes on your venture!

Ha ha, I truly understand your jitters despite your photography talents!! I was approached for the same "job" last summer...brrrrr, nervous! An outdoor wedding meant lighting WAS tricky as could be and I worked really hard..both during AND editing afterwards...it came out fine, evetually...so good luck to you!

A perfect photo tribute to the end of summer. I'm enjoying the cooler weather but not the prelude to winter! I love the photo of the leaves, it's lovely.

I would have the same worries as you, but I think you'll do fine with your wedding photography.

I am not looking forward to summer being completely gone. I'm going to miss this one a lot.

Well, I'd guessed Autumn Approaches, so I wasn't far off. As for the wedding, just shoot a LOT. You'll be fine. And have fun, too.

Ok, so I was a little off - I guessed a "relaxing welcome to fall". Please don't worry about the wedding - you will take stupendous pictures. I'm sure it's going to be great - you'll do a fantastic job, they'll be ultra impressed, and you'll be the new ________ (insert famous wedding photographers name here)!

Your pictures are wonderful - I have tremendous faith in you! xx

Hi Ann!

I really liked the 1st pic of the chairs. Simple but it conveys a deep message. Esp in my country right now where certain people are out to destroy unity among the races.

I can't wait to see the wedding pictures! :D
