I love Monday

I do love Monday, this week. I have the day off thanks to Christmas falling on my regular day off.
All in all, it was an enjoyable weekend. Saturday morning we went to Wade's dad's house. His kids and his granddaughter were there also. Saturday evening we celebrated with my kids. We opened gifts, ate food and just had fun.
Duke must have been a very good boy and he was quite excited about opening his gifts.
Santa brought him a fleece elf ball and an unstuffed stuffie. No sense bringing the kind with stuffing in them because they don't stay stuffed for long. He also got 2 bags of treats and thanks to his pal Donna he got the jumbo economy size bag of his favorite treat. Duke sends you tons of puppy licks for that Donna.
Christmas day was very quiet. It was just me, Wade and Duke. We started it with yummy breakfast that included cheap, pillsbury cinnamon rolls (the kind that come in the tube sold in the refrigerator section) Yeah, ok so they are a bit lame but this baker thought they were good enough. Anything more would have been too much like work.
They may not have been the best I've ever had but they looked nice in the pan. Kind of.

And last but not least, we had a green Christmas. It doesn't happen often but I'm not complaining.

That is the cutest little hoodie coat Duke is wearing!! I guess I will have to buy a roll of these buns now, they must be really great if a baker makes them!! I'm so glad you had a nice Christmas weekend!

It sounds like you-all had a very enjoyable holiday--especially Duke! Now, since you have the day off, you could come down here and help clean up our mess(es). (I ain't much help, according to my wife and her mother.)

That little hoodie outfit looks cute on Duke! Glad that the 3 of you had a nice holiday. And 3 cheers for having the day off too! How sweet of Donna in TX to send treats to Duke. He is spoiled ROTTEN! LOL!

I have a day to finally catch up with laundry and household chores. And I'll see hubby later on tonight. I have the day off from work too, and not going anywhere to spend $s

I like those cinnamon buns - you just gotta eat them up quickly - they're not so great once they cool off...

Homemade cinnamon buns are a Christmas tradition in our family, my Mom always makes them and a cream cheese/pineapple roll. So so good.

It was a green Christmas here. I hate to say it, but I missed the snow.

Ann, we had the same rolls on Christmas morning. LOL That sweater Duke is wearing is fabulous. I never find anything that cute in XL size for my babies. Glad you had a nice holiday!

Sometimes quiet is very good! And when you have to bake all the time, I'll bet you didn't mind making "easy" one little bit. The taste of those is ok, but they are kind of like cinnamon air.

Yes ours was a green Christmas too. That has changed it is now cold and icy. Duke was a very good boy to get all those wonderful gifts. What a lucky doggy.
