OOPS, I'm late

I'm late. I'm late.
For a very important date.
No time to say hello, goodbye.
I'm late, I'm late I'm late.
That little bit from Alice in Wonderland always comes to mind when I say I'm late. The important date I'm late for may not be top priority but I have made it a point to schedule my posts for the same time every day.
Yesterday I think I was in a fog for most of the day. The higher the temperature rose the lower my energy level was.
The theme for the day
The last temperature I saw was 91 (32c) and with everything factored in it was supposed to have felt like 102 (38c).  We have no air conditioning because I have never liked it. Yesterday however I would have welcomed it. I was hot, I was tired and I slept most of the day. I'm not complaining. I would rather be hot than cold. Today is supposed to be about 10 degrees cooler and I got plenty of rest yesterday so I just might get something accomplished today.
Wherever you are and whatever you are doing today, take some time out to refresh  yourself.

Love the colors in the photo! And happy that there has been a break in the temps. We hit 101 yesterday and even with the air-conditioner running we still had fans in every room. Thankful for a cooler day!

Nice photo edit, I have been drinking lots of sun tea, it was 102 here.

We've had buckets of rain coming down for hours...I guess I'm refreshed enough ;-)
I hope the temps cool off a little over there, but I'm with you, I'd rather be hot than cold!
Love the image you created :)

I have heard about the beastly weather in your area! Hope you stay cool! I have missed coming around. Hope things are well with you and yours!

Our high yesterday was 105 and probably higher with the heat index. I hate a/c too but I must say over the last week I have developed an appreciation for it...and even with the a/c on the heat seems to just seep into the walls of the building and lethargy seems to be the only energy level achievable!

I live in California and just about everyone here has air conditioners. Mine stays on when the heat rises until fall. It's just the way it is. I couldn't stand not having air conditioning.

Have a terrific day and stay cool. My best to Duke. :)

Hello!

At this point in time I would welcome 91 as a high after our days of 101-104 in this part of WI! We desperately need rain - weeks now without it in addition to the high temps and our corn crops are like 40% loss now. Wishing you a happy Sunday! Keep cool!

Hugs,

Barbara Diane

Torrential rain here today. But so hot. Honest it's like being in the tropics. I'm trying to work outside with an electric angle grinder. I could get electrocuted! If you don't hear from me again....

The heat made me feel really sick yesterday so I skipped a shower I was suppose to go to and spent the afternoon in bed. Finally cooled down in the evening so I was able to head out to the annual 4th of July parade and festival.

Love the photo!!! I'd rather be cold than hot! I would be in trouble without AC here in Orlando. :)

I don't think cold weather is a bad thing...when it's really hot there is only so much you can do...however when it's cold you can always layer up a bit more or light a cosy fire.

Hope the heat is more bearable for you today.

Did you see the Tim Burton remake of Alice In Wonderland, starring Johnny Depp? It was quite entertaining to me.

In regards to our weather conditions, we have been consistently at or above 100 for over 2 weeks now, and we are over 8 inches below average for rainfall. Oh yeah, we have A/C.

Good I can blame my laziness on all this hot weather. And it has been horrible here. But I think there is a little hope for next week. It is going to be darn right cold here, down in the high 80's. Take care.

Like Jerry, we were over 100 degrees and no rainfall for weeks. While the temps have lowered where we can finally (!) turn off the air conditioning, there is no rain in sight. :(

At least you have the pool to keep you cool!

Glad your temps dropped and that you are all refreshed! I don't do well in heat and today is the hottest it's been at 86 degrees so our A/C is keeping it at 75 in here. I can always get warmer by covering up but there's only so much I can take off to get cool! :)

We are finally getting some hot weather here - but not that hot thankfully! Hope you and Duke are keeping cool Ann!

Omg I couldn't live without air conditioning! My hormones are crazy and I'm always hot. Hope it cooled off!

It's tough to think about much of anything when you're hot. I hope that you get some cooler weather soon!

We've been in the triple digits for too many days. We have air conditioning and I still just want to nap!
The photo is nice and refreshing...great colors too!!

I have the same thoughts whenever I'm late. I don't post at regular times so being late is never an issue.

My husband doesn't like the air conditioner either. I must have the air conditioner but I don't turn on very cool like many people.

You probably don't need a/c for most of the days there - but I know it has been hot everywhere. Do you feel better today? I hope you are refreshed. sandie
