Boo Hiss

Nestles may make the very best chocolate but I wasn't real happy with the stuffed peppers.

Honestly I prefer my own homemade stuffed peppers but Mr picky eater likes the Stouffers stuffed peppers and since I'm not picky we buy them and have them for dinner on nights when neither of us wants to do much cooking.

The last purchase looked like this

Have a closer look at the unstuffed pepper

So I'm annoyed with the purchase and I go to the Nestle USA website to lodge a complaint. I made three attempts to send my complaint with attached photos and each time I got an error message saying my message could not be sent please try again. Now I'm not only annoyed with the product I'm annoyed with their website.

I wait several days and make another attempt but this time send it as a general comment without pictures. It goes through and says give them 24 hours to respond to your message. Guess what? Haven't heard a thing.

Now in all fairness to them, this is the only package that we ever bought that has been like this but still. When I buy stuffed peppers I expect them to be stuffed. It's a good thing I wasn't real hungry that night.

Did you check the use by date on the box? Maybe it is past it's prime and has dehydrated, it looks that way. We love Stouffers and buy it almost exclusively. But sometimes you will get a T.V. dinner with freezer burn or kind of shrunken. I did not know Nestles owned them, Phooey! That kind of makes it less special to me. But I have found that when you DO complain... call and talk to a person, they will send you coupons for free stuff. Look for the 800 phone number, those always work for me. Keep us updated.

I once bought a low carb Atkins frozen dinner that was supposed to have pasta in it. It had exactly three small pieces of pasta to keep the carbohydrates low. Not at all what it looked like on the box.

I always go back to the supermarket I bought the product from and show them and then they usually take care of it! Once I even received a whole box of goodies as compensation :)

Good for you to complain, not enough people do and that's wrong. I always complain if its due, my last complaint got me a £30 voucher for a meal. Hang in there, they sometimes take a long time to reply, good luck.

WEll that sure doesn't look good at all.I too like Stouffers usually. It does look like it was expired. Glad you didn't eat it.

the only stouffers i have bought is the veggie lasanga, and that is really good, i buy the family size and cook it, then we cant take squares and re heat and i don't have to cook. neither of us like frozen dinners. once i filled the freezer with dinners and went away for a few days, when i came home only two had been used. he said you wasted your money, i can't eat that crap. so that was the last i bought.. hope they send you free food coupons..

I came close once buying these, but decided it was too easy to make some. I don't like prepared foods, and like to cook. I have pepper seed in my basement getting started and have some real fun varieties to grow. I grow lots, wish you were closer to share.

Not a good experience :-( not something I've tried but keep letting them know how you feel!
Hope you enjoy tonight's dinner!

I hand out complaints and compliments in equal measure...my local grocery store has been plucking at my last nerve recently and talking to the manager isn't always helpful so a few weeks ago I complained to corporate - things have actually improved.

I don't know that I would complain about something like your peppers - factory prepared food I don't expect much of...but if they do respond, send them that pic. I'm betting there will be some freebies in your future!

I've never had stuffed peppers. lol I've cut out rice from our diet and I don't like peppers unless they are diced up. :)

I can relate to your frustration trying to get through to someone . I think they just want people to give up...

Well that's disappointing! I guess Nestle/Stouffer's gets around the 'complaints' problem by not letting anyone make one! Drives me nuts when companies websites are so user unfriendly as to make it impossible to interact with them but on the other hand I'm sure they probably do it on purpose! Hope you hear from them and that they make it right and I'd suggest to Mr. picky eater that your stuffed peppers are probably a heck of a lot better than those!
