Documented Life Project

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted one of these. I have had this page done for quite a while but I guess I've just been busy with all the index cards and it got put on the back burner.

August Theme
Faces, the Human Form & Characters
August 22
Art Challenge: Layered (Using Multiple Mediums)
Journal Prompt:  Speak to your younger self- what advice would you offer?

Like I told you before the theme for the month wasn't a good one for me and I really had trouble with it. On this page I didn't even include a face. I think I pretty much just slapped some stuff on the page and called it quits since it wasn't really speaking to me. I'm totally not impressed with this at all but here goes.

The flower and the glitter were apparently my attempt to dress it up a bit.

I like it and I love the saying. It's spot on.

Have a fabulous day. Big hugs to you and my very best to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Hi Ann, that is the problem with doing a challenge, creativity has got to come from the soul and if you are not totally vested in the creation, it just doesn't work. You need to create from your heart and soul and not from someone's bright idea. Not to hurt anyone feelings, but you have a lot of talent and you know when you are inspired . . . now, aren't those the times you really enjoy the process and come out with something that you are proud of?
Do what makes you happy!!!
Sending you hugs . . . Connie :)

I like what Connie wrote.

It's okay to have a "failure" (in your eyes) every now and then. You can go back and see what went wrong and what you would do differently. It's a way to grow.

So, even if you don't like this one...you are really learning from it.

I think you are facing your fears head on Ann by tackling all of these journal page prompts even when you don't feel inspired by them. Keep it up girl, loving them all even when you don't!
