The best I can do

I was going to tell you about my tomato plant that one of the customers at work gave me. I tried to take a picture with my phone and it didn't turn out too well and I didn't have the ambition to try again.

Standing in for the real thing is this one

So this tomato plant that I got hasn't grown much at all. A while back when we got all the rain, the pot it was in got overy saturated. But still it lived. It got 2 teeny tiny buds on it that looked like they shriveled up and died. Right now it has two teeny tiny tomatoes on it. They look like they are about the size of a pea. When he gave me the plant he told me it was supposed to produce 6 lb. tomatoes.  Those babies have a long way to go.

SIX pound tomatoes!!! With a story like this, you don't need a photo! I kind of doubt that, but there are stranger things.

Bwahahaha! You are hilarious Ann! Even without the picture...somehow I doubt those tomatoes will be six pounds!

maybe he meant 6 pounds of tomatoes. I bought two last week that weighed 1 pound each, and they were as big as the slice of bread. a 6 pound tomato would be a basketball. we have never had any luck growing them in a bucket. bob the green thumb has tried several times.

Maybe you just have to use the right kind of magnifying glass to view the tomatoes.

Maybe one day you'll get those 6 pounders.

I wonder how many years it will take to get a huge tomato like that? I'm thinking you may never know.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Your story reminds me of John when we first married. He planted GIANT pumpkin seeds. We got one pumpkin the size of my fist! lol

Before they get THAT big, the growing season and the first frost will arrive...anyway, that is the way it always was for me. That's why I now go to farmer's markets. lol

Mine produced NOTHING! I think the rain was way to much for it. Would love a fresh, tomato sandwich......yum
