till the cows come home

I went in search of information on the phrase "till the cows come home". First I didn't put a whole lot of effort in to my search. Second I didn't find much information. Pretty much as many may know, it means a long time. As for the origin, there didn't seem to be much information on that that I found. I suppose you could say you'll be waiting till the cows come home to learn any more about the phrase from me. You won't have to wait to see a picture of cows though.

Moove over because I have one here for you. I drove down a back road after I dropped Gibbs off at the groomer Monday. When I saw these cows I stopped to say hello

Me being me, I played with it. Not a huge difference but it looks more like a painting now than a photo.

What is it that you'll be waiting for till the cows come home?

I lived next door to cows once...black and white ones and honestly - first time I saw them I wasn't sure what they were!

I love living in a small town. You can see so many wonderful things. Like cows and other fun stuff.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Great cow picture! All different kinds too! They are really involved in eating. I hope I am not waiting this long to lose more weight. If only it didn't involve pesky dieting...

I love the "painting" effect. I have always heard that saying!

I have lots of cows around me...both here at the cottage and at home! They live right next door! :)

It does look like a painting! Very cool. Where do cows go? Out to lunch heehee :) I would think they'd always be home.

If the cows went home you wouldn't have been able to get such good stuff from them. I'm glad they stayed out.

Let's see...what would I be waiting for? Someone to cook for me a lavish meal, clean up afterwards, massage my feet as I sit back and relax while watching a movie. Then...to top it off....someone who'll carry me to my bed and adorn me with percale sheets and lullaby .
