The day after

It was great having the extra day off yesterday but today (the day after the holiday) I wish I could have a do over. Not that I wasted the entire day but I want another day off.

Yesterday was actuallly quite productive. I went for a walk, I mowed the lawn before the heat got too unbearable and I finished off 4 cards that I started several days ago.

Today I just have pictures from my walk.

I know they're only weeds but they were pretty and they called my name as I walked by.

I was almost back home and walking past the funeral home when I spotted this rock sitting on the ledge of their huge raised flower bed. I left it there for someone else to enjoy and only took with me the image.

Those blue flowers do not look like weeds to me. I'd love to have them in my gardens. :-)

I love that rock & to me the significant meaning, it speaks to me. It might not have spoken to me but you said it was in the funeral home's raised flower bed. Our dead bodies will be 'awakened' one day to meet our Savior and that will be spectacular & reason to celebrate.

Enjoy the rest of your week ~ FlowerLady

It's so funny...I woke up wishing I had a 'do over' too! I got some things done yesterday and stayed home all day. But I need another day to really tackle the decluttering I started! Love your wildflowers and that painted rock. Sweet hugs, Diane

Oh, that's "chickory"...it is one of my favorite wild flowers too. The color is just such a pretty blue.

Glad you enjoyed you day AND you got so much accomplished. What a good feeling. Having the holiday in the middle of the week was bad. I'm sure productivity everywhere today and tomorrow is going to be horrid.

Having a good day off is a very good thing. Nothing like doing what you want to do instead of what you have to do.

Have a fabulous day, my friend. Big healing hugs coming your way and lots of scritches for Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Glad you got out for that walk...you've got very pretty wild flowers there! Love the color. Did you learn to use the riding mower? Those push mowers are not a bit fun!
Hugs to you!!

What a walk full of surprises. So special to find this rock. The flowers are gorgeous! They look a bit like chicory, but I think these are even bigger. They are a really heavenly color.

Chickory, you can roast the root and make a coffee drink kind of. They love it down south in Loisiana. I like the blue also
