Outta practice

I was originally going to do a post with a bit of a whine and bit of something positive. I changed my mind because I really didn't feel like listening to myself whine so why should I expect you to.
Instead I pulled out a picture of my cup of coffee and decided I would play with it. All I can say is that I am way out of practice with the editing. I'm not even sure what I was doing.

As for my accomplishments for the day, after work I took a quick nap. It was a quick one because some puppy didn't feel that it was necessary. After that I proceeded to pack up most of Wades clothes. I'm donating them to a local church who takes in used clothes. I believe they do a clothing giveaway every so often as well as collect for people who have had house fires.

What a very sad chore you had! Your cup is pretty, and it looks like it has a huge shadow.

I have been editing on PhotoShop elements but I love my old program Photo Explosion. The other day I was editing on wedding pics so I jumped up the the big computer to work on the old program....I had forgotten so much on it. Need to play more like I used to. Quick nap....haha, I have NO CLUE what one of those are, I nap...I NAP!

You'll get back into the groove quick enough. Just ENJOY the process!

Tough job sorting through his clothes. But...you did it...and it will be good for someone to have them. Sending you a hug for that project.

I think that is quite extraordinary - I could never get Photoshop Elements to work on any of my MAC's

That really is a hard job to do but I know the clothes will be appreciated and you'll be glad to have it done. Love your photo! You are so creative. You always inspire me!

You might try GraphicConverter for the Mac. I use it all the time and like it.

Good for you. If I did something like that I would say, "Well, that's a good month's work. I'm off the hook for a while."

It was a bit sad but it was time to do it

photoshop elements is what I've always used.

Ann said...

Yep, that I will.
Thanks for the hug

Well thanks. I've never worked with a MAC so I wouldn't have a clue

Thanks. It's taken me this long to get around to doing it. Every other time I've thought about it I just couldn't do it

LOL, now you've given me an excuse to not have to do anything more for at least a month.

I think you did a great job on the cup and photo editing. I know it must have been hard to pack those clothes up--like losing a bit of self again. I know you are a strong woman and you are doing a great job with everything. xo xo xo

before I scrolled all the way to the coffee - I thought first "grunge" and then "vintage" paper look...if you turned the cup into sepia or similar you would certainly be up there with the digital paper trends...

Sandra may be the biggest whiner in Florida, but I am the biggest in Indiana...LOL I can sort of imagine how you feel with packing and donating Wade's clothes. Though I still have Roger, there is so much stuff he never looks at...like his hunting and fishing magazines. Since it is a struggle for him to read words, he never tries to read articles or anything. I went down in the basement with the intention of putting them in garbage bags, but could not do it. I am trying to bring myself to the place where I can.

On the other hand, I have quilting magazines from my mom, who has been dead since 1996. She and I have both looked and looked at them...probably 10 times over...and I never look at them now. But still hard to pitch them. It is one of the few good memories of mom.

I gave up on editing photos years ago. My heart goes out to you for packing up Wade's clothes. I know that is a hard part of the process. I've been sick all week and Skye's been begging for attention when I just want to sleep. With Mark in Canada fishing she hasn't been walked for about 10 days now!
