The card I've been holding

I can finally show the card that I made for Amanda's birthday. But first lets start with the envelope. This is actually a box envelope since the card had raised embellishments that wouldn't fit in a flat envelope

I was really quite pleased with how this card came out. The lace type card topper was a free file from Birds cards. The flowers and leaves were cut with a die then inked and shaped. The larger flower is 3 layers and the smaller ones are 2.

I have to give you a closer look at the flowers before I let you go. I'm not quite sure why I used gems on two flowers and a pearl on the third but it is what it is.

The next birthday coming up is Wade's youngest son. His is on July 4th. I have some time before I need to get that one made.

Holy Carp! That is gorgeous! You MADE the envelope? I am totally gobsmacked!

(What does it mean that the flowers were cut with a die?)

Thanks. I was very pleased with how it came out

Thanks. Yes, I made the envelope :)
As for the flowers, I have an electronic cutting machine (my cricut) and then a manual die cutting machine. I have different shaped dies to cut with. I run the paper with the die on top through the machine and it cuts the paper. I'm horrible at explaining it but that will give me something to do a blog post about.

Well thank you. Can't say whether or not she'll hold on to the card or not but she did say she liked it

Thanks. I admit I am a bit proud of how it came out. Yep, I think I'm back. But I really don't want to try and get back into selling. I enjoy giving it away more.

Gee, Ann! This is really beautiful...but from what I have seen that you do, I expected no less. I don't know why you used the gems and then a pearl, but I like it that way.

Coming in late, stunning results

Thank you.

Thanks. The biggest problem with a card like this is that I don't know if it would mail well. Having to have a box type envelop it probably would get a lot of rough handling.

Thank you so much

I still think this is one of the most beautiful cards!
