The bench

In lieu of a coffee table I am currently using this bench that I purchased a long time ago at a craft show. I often bought things that fit the decor of the cave to give Wade as gifts.
The bench came with two cushion inserts. The first one is a wildlife theme
And the second is a Christmas theme I have a wood tray that was also purchased at a craft show that I had sitting on top of the bench to hold remotes and a drink
Then I discovered that that tray fits perfectly into the bottom of the bench
At first I didn't really like this bench sitting there, but the longer it sits there the more I like it.

I reallylike it too. a big thing now is people using large ottomans as coffee tables. and a bench is just as cool. I love that is has two different tops. Now I am wondering if you could make more?? Wouldn't that be cool, you could make a spring one and a fall one.

i like it too.. either way, on top or in the bottom and i like Ginnys seasonal idea too.. i think it is the perfect size for the space, any thing bigger would make it dangerous getting up and down off the sofa...

I've never been able to wrap my head around coffee tables - I've always had side tables and floor lamps but I must say I do like that bench. People say they use a coffee table to put their feet up and that bench is perfect for that. BUT the tray! I LOVE the tray. I have trays all over the house to contain the small flotsam and jetson of daily life - pretty ones that are seen and practical ones inside drawers. That tray fitting in the bottom of the bench is genius!

The tray looks very clever nestled in the Bench. And it must be more comfortable to pop your feet up on the bench than an ordinary coffee table. Like!

I am so glad someone else does things like this besides me, Ann! I use very nontraditional stuff for all kinds of things. It's stuff I have I on hand and it's stuff that I really like, so why not?...jp

I love that the bench has two tops! I use an old trunk for my coffee table and it holds the grand dolls' games. I love versatile furniture that has multiple uses.

I think it looks really good! Can you make different covers for it if you wanted?

I think the bench fits is lovely with the rest of the decor.
The interchangeable covers are a nice touch!
