Update

So I thought I would give you an update on my appointment yesterday. I thought it was just going to be an ultrasound but when I got there they did another mammogram but only on the left side. Once I was finished they had me wait until the doctor looked at them.

When she came back she said that it was a small cyst and they were going to go ahead and do the ultrasound. I waited a few more minutes for that technician and when she was done I went back and sat to wait some more for the doctor to look at the results again. While I was waiting I snapped a picture out the window.
The doctor was pretty quick and the technician came out to say that it was a small 1/2 centimeter cyst and that there was no further action required other than to follow up in a year for my next mammogram.
I liked the end of Grace's comment yesterday. It made me laugh. She said  I trust the mammogram results will fall into the 'age-related' category which is another way to say - No worries, you're getting old...

Hurrah, this makes my day!!!! Looks like this is a big hospital, too. I'm so glad you did not have to go home and wait for the results!

Good news Ann! How wonderful to get the news immediately rather than wait several days for it. Life is good. ^^

I'm glad it was good news, how scary though! Be sure to keep up your monthly breast exams regardless.

So happy to hear the good news, that's a relief! Looks like storms on the way in the photo. I hope you didn't get caught in it on the way home.

I left a word out in that comment - Just - you're JUST getting old. All my test results come back with all sorts of anomalies which are explained with "age appropriate" You've got a great hospital center, to have the results immediately? That's a blessing in itself. I usually have to go to my patient portal, look up the test results, Google every other sentence and then email the doctor for an explanation! Anyway, good news.

I figured as much. I have these cysts too. Many of them. It's the price of getting old I guess. I'm glad you have a clean bill of health where this is concerned.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

gosh that's great news along with knowing right there on the "spot" and that you are now in their files to "keep an eye on things"
