The one day they had a nice big hole dug right next to my driveway. Thankfully it was filled back in by the end of the day.
Another day I came home and they had a pipe running across the end of my driveway. I parked on the street and was on my way to the front door when one of the guys yelled over and said sorry about that we'll have it out of the way in about 20 minutes
It looks like they are done working right in front of my house now and have moved down the street a bit.

And I bet they wake you up on your days off as well. But sounds like they are nice and polite.
That property easement crapola, where they tear up the grass annoys the heck out of me. Especially the noise & messy mud if it gets rainy.
we had a couple of weeks of this in front of our house, and 6 months of it on the street, water pipes not gas. I was just happy they were replacing the pipes that bring us clean water in the house. you might rememeber i did a FEW posts about it. ha ha.. many posts might be correct.
It's good that they are replacing it. It must have been leaking or getting old!
Obviously some projects must get done but it's always a pain when it's happening at your house. I know we have something coming up soon but I can't remember what it was for.
I remember in one of our former houses they were doing big road work in front of our house too. Kept my toddler son occupied for hours, watching them!! A hassle to put up with, especially when it bothers your driveway, but hopefully will be worth it when it's finished. ~Andrea xoxoxo
I'm glad they're through with the part in front of your house, and I'm also glad they were so friendly and polite. That makes a big difference.
Right outside of this property with very leeway with the driveway is a "power/utility pole" one that seems to have a lot of pipes running up/down it and under the ground. Someone is forever digging it up either the grassed bit or part of the concrete driveway, for some reason, put up their cones and no where to drive in...then a lump of dirt or some type of mismatched concrete is on top of the latest mess - a few later along comes someone with grass seed. The concrete infill starts to subside and the cars drive in over a lip or two...Has very little time to get going, and the "repeat occurs"
We had water and sewer pipes replaced down our street in the past three years. What a mess that was! Took forever, everything was dusty and dirty and we couldn't open our windows for a couple of summers. I'm glad yours is temporary
