shopping

Sunday after work I took a little walk with Gibbs and by the time I got home all I wanted to do was lay on the couch. I didn't go near the computer at all which is why I took the day off yesterday from blogging.
Monday was the typical start to the day off drinking coffee and reading blogs. Then I decided that I was kind of bored so I went to the mall to do some window shopping. Mall shopping on a Monday isn't that bad because there was hardly anyone there. This picture looks like it was totally empty but there really were people there. By the time I left it was even starting to get a little crowded.

Of course I couldn't resist taking a picture of huge Christmas tree where Santa was set up. Santa wasn't there yet when I got this picture otherwise I would have tried to get a quick shot of him as well.

Tomorrow I'll show you some gingerbread houses that were on display for a gingerbread house contest

That's a lovely tree. Seems that malls are not in fashion anymore, and the ones around here are shutting down. Town Centers are all the rage now. But malls are lovely for walking around in bad weather.

Our nearest mall is 45 minutes away. From what I hear it's gone downhill a lot since we've been there. Yours seems nice, especially when it's not crowded.

I have never liked shopping in malls! Even before the pandemic I figured they were a Petrie dish.

that is a really nice mall, I always shopped at whatever time the mall stores opened because it was not jammed, by lunch time it was. now the mall that was jammed is locked up with chains on the doors and just sitting empty. 4 achor stores gone, Sears, Pennys Macy and Dillards. good idea to wander. Just for away from home .

Maybe I'll venture out to the mall after the holidays. I sure could use some new things but hate the crowds. I wonder if our mall is EVER that uncrowded!

I love malls! Ours closed many years ago. That tree where Santa is stationed is gorgeous. That took a lot of time to decorate, I'll bet. Can't wait to see the gingerbread house contest entries!! ~Andrea xoxoxo

That's standard practice in this house, as soon as we come in we just sit in the chair and snooze for an hour. lol

That is great that your mall is empty! I won't go to a mall here...too dangerous. Can you believe that?! Not kidding...there are shootings and carjackings at the local mall. So sad. Enjoy those lovely decorations for me! (Did you wave at Santa? I always do that)

Hubby and I used to head to the mall to see all the Christmas decorations, but haven't done it in a very long time. How fun. It wears us out though.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

There is a mall a few miles from us that usually decorates so pretty for Christmas. This past year has been hard and a lot of the stores are closed now. I have to go there to see if it's still decorated so pretty.

I think with all the on line shopping not many folks are going into the stores. With that, I wonder when I got by a store and see little to no cars what is going to happen to those places. Nothing wrong with taking it easy. I am on day three of doing nothing.

I know that I've been avoiding the internet more often. Sometimes it is just too much to handle. I'm glad you got out and walked at the mall. The tree is lovely. Looking forward to seeing the gingerbread houses.

I was on a mission to leave our mall, last week when Santa was sitting "waiting" and he waved to me, with a cheery smile.
